Yep, I'm guessing DirecTV will be using the bandwidth for an HD MLB game, right now.

It would be nice if the guide data wasn't completely useless for this channel. Are they just broadcasting the regular MHD feed, or is it like NGCHD where they're cherry-picking programming? I'd be inclined to think it's the regular feed, because it goes on for so long. But I wasn't able to catch it this morning.

Doesn't help the situation but it will show the Concert for Diana featuring; Sir Elton John, Joss Stone, The Killers, Rod Stewart, Kanye West, Andrew Lloyd Weber, Pharrell Williams, Duran Duran

Hosted by Prince William and Harry

Ok, I have to ask, it was in HD & MPEG4?

I am seeing channel 332 on my HR10-250, so it would be safe to assume it is MPEG2.

I would be safe to assume it is MPEG-2 if you can see it on your receiver. That's why it is only on during the mornings when they can squeeze in the channel when some other HD channels aren't showing HD. However, when it goes full time it will be MPEG-4.

ITT Tech graduate, no BS courses, and educated people. Couldn’t ask for anything better, higher education and a degree, without having to experience typical college life.

BTW – Along with hating my age group, I also suck at spelling :)

Once get out in the world for a while and companies figure things out, you may regret not getting that well-balanced education.
Companies want well-rounded people, not just nerds. You'll also find out that if you're poor in spelling, it's the first impression you leave to people and is a very good way to blow job opportunities.

Now that MHD is live, I have two observations:

1. It is the actual regular broadcast of the MHD channel, it's not just selected shows like NGCHD's sneak peak.
2. It is compressed beyond belief. Broadcasting a concert with lots of flashing lights and quick color changes, the PQ is pure garbage. It's right at the edge of watchable, IMO.

That's too bad - that it's so compressed. We get it on FiOS, and it has one of the bet PQs out of any HD channel we get. I gotta wonder why they would do that. Give you a sneak peak of a channel only to deliver it like that. I understand the bandwidth limitations, but you're just setting customers up for disappointment that way. DirecTV runs all these commercials about how stunning their HD is, and then gives you a sneak peak at what's coming that's that disappointing. Just sounds like a bone-headed marketing move to me. I think they would be better served just waiting until the new satellite goes up and then giving you guys the new channels. Sneak peaks are fine, but they should make you clamor for more.

Is it still in your guide after the preview? It is not showing up in my guide now just before noon. I didn't check this morning to see if it was on.

It was off late yesterday afternoon and as i checked all through the night, it was still off, so i guess its only playing in the early am....

It was active on my HR20's this morning. If you've set a Custom Favorite Channels list, you need to edit the list to show the channel in your guide, but you can still tune directly to it.

...and it is off again. Unique mix of videos, seems to be a fairly decent channel.
