I don't see "none" as an answer. I would rather the problems that remain with the HR20 as a DVR be fixed first....

I don't understand the purpose of the poll, as we already have MediaShare, and DirecTV is rolling out VOD this summer.

I think I can help you with that.
Look at the OP's avatar and previous posts.
Get back to me if you still don't see the purpose. :nono:

Some of you have media share, and those of us who can't get it won't get the VOD either. But I agree, another DLB poll, cleverly disguised in a VOD shroud.

I know perfectly well the OP is an advocate of DLB, but what does that have to do with the purpose of this poll? I already pointed out that we do not have to limit ourselves to just one - we're already getting two out of three. So again, what is the purpose of this poll?

Is it to show that one of these three features is more important to the DBSTalk community? Then the poll should have said "Which is more important to you ..."

Is it to ask DirecTV to only work on one until it's "done"? Then the poll question should have been phrased that way or the first post should have clarified it.

I can't answer the question "If you can only have one, which would it be?" because there is no basis for the question - DirecTV is not going to take away one of the three features being asked about.

VOD will still be available to anyone with an HR20 and an active account. Most of the VOD content will be distributed via broadband on networked HR20s, but DirecTV will make "the most popular content" available over the satellite, so even those without networked HR20s can use VOD.

Let me be more direct.
The purpose of the poll is to advocate DLB and to create yet another DLB thread.
There is no other purpose.

While I must agree that this appears to be nothing more than...
:beatdeadhorse:
I did bother to vote, although I'm not sure why...
:scratchin
And I chose  ...

DLB

Because I do not do media sharing, and when I had VOD with cable I did not use it, so doubt I would use it with DirecTV (other than to test when it becomes available for that purpose).

So, of the three, that was the best choice for me.

The poll should of been Do you think DTV will gives DLB yes and no. I voted for VOD the only way I want DLB if the buffers are 90 min each.

Is VOD going to cost anything if we use it?
