Just got a 622 the other day and saw a setting in there that I never saw on
my 942. It was call TV Enhancement enable/disable.
This was seperate from the guide style selection menu where the word enhancement is used.
Any explanation would be appreciated.

TV Enhancement gives popups of some sort where you can get more info about what's on, usually commercials if I remember right. If you ever had a TiVo, it's similar to the "Press thumbs up for more info" interactive feature.

Personally, I have it disabled.

Unfortunately, this function has no effect on all the annoying and distracting popups, banners and animations that programmers interrupt programs with.

Thanks for the quick response!!
I kept all those nannys off on my Tivos will do the same here.
I hope this 622 turns out to be as solid as my 942.
Thanks again

And the History channel and all of the Discovery channels - those things are so annoying and distracting and some of them take up so much real estate on your screen that you miss important stuff that's going on!

The worst is when you are watching a movie and there is a scene with sub titles and you miss it because of an advertisement going across the area where the words are.
