Will you favorite Linux vendor be around long term. The negative of a Free OS, is that the company that allows you to download it for free does not get much money for it's troubles.
Looks like Red Hat is the only making a profit, small as it is.
Buying a boxed version give you still a great deal and gives some money back to the vendor. But I haven't done that in 4 years, Redhat has made it so convenient to download.
