I'm planning to buy a DVD recorder and need some help.

I have a Plasma HDTV and Directv as my sattelite service.

I want a dvd recorder that will play my dvd-R discs and will "upscale" movies

I also want to be able to record nfl games and movies recorded in HD to DVD- I know you need an hd recorder to get full hd but i have been told hd programing burned to dvd will still look better then SD.

I can spend up to 200 bucks. I really don't need alot of bells and whistles.

I just need it to pLay my dvd's well and record easy without a headache setting it up.

Any suggestions?? Thanks

NOTE: I was thinking of getting this one:

Panasonic DMR ES25S

I just purchased the Toshiba D-R400. It will work with both -R and +R, S-video in, HDMI out with selectable upconversion. Also will record in 16x9. Does a very good job. At CC about $179.00 IIRC. I am very happy with it. I looked at a couple of Panny's, didn't care for them.
