Why all the requests for Sci-Fi HD when it's listed on the project HD channels list as Fall 2007?

I guess I am skeptical until it actually launches. I checked SciFi's website and did a search for HD and nothing except references to letters from fans asking for SciFi. I realize D* reference SciFi as an HD channel but so far internet searches have yielded no mention of this channel other D* saying they will have it when it becomees available. Which leads me to a question... why are networks and channels so secretive about when or if they are working on an HD version? Over the past year or so of emailing channels and asking about HD plans the standard generic response of we are glad you are interested in our network and will pass along the request is pretty tiresome. Why don't these guys sound off and send out press releases or make announcements, "Hey we have HD coming in Oct. 2007 for the new season of XYZ". It seems the channels get launched with as little fanfare as possible. Reading another thread it mentioned E* launched TLC in HD, I have never seen one advertisement from TLC saying they have an HD feed.

Does anyone know of a master list that lists all of the HD shows and what HD channels they are on?

I'd like everything in HD, but these are the ones not on the current list that I'd most like to see:

AMC (Their new series Mad Men deserves to be in HD)
VH1 Classic

MSG Network. You would think that this would have been the FIRST regional sports channel to go HD on DirecTV. Still waiting....

Still waiting....

You'll be waiting forever. MSG Network is owned by Cablevision, and they'll never let DirecTV have the HD feed.
