Perhaps it is because I no longer work Grave shift, but I believe Directv's HD picture quality lately is way better than it used to be. I'm watching on a 61" Sammy DLP and I noticed the great improvement with Monday Night Football and Dan Rather Reports on HDNet.

Anyone else noticed any significant improvement?

Your not the only one. Lately Discovery HD Theater seems to be noticeably clearer.

There are reports that DHDT's resolution has been increased. Haven't seen reports of bandwidth increasing.

They had to increase the bandwidth at the same time. If they just increased the resolution, it would just lower the picture quality.
