I have a SL for Property Ladder on TLC channel 280 to record first run episodes on my HR20-100. It has worked fine for the first month of this season. This past Saturday night it did not record. I went into history and it had the 'this program was not recorded because it became unavailable' message. Since I noticed it wasn't recording while the show was still on, I checked the guide and it was still listed as airing from 8-9PM.

This is NOT an HR20 issue since I also have a SP for this show on my SD-DVR80 upstairs and it too failed to record. It's message was it was not recorded because 'it was no longer in the guide' even though I checked (since with Tivo you can backwards in the guide) and it was listed for 8-9PM.

I checked the HR20 to do list for this Saturday 8/25 and it is not showing Property Ladder will record even though it is in the HR20 guide for 8/25 at 8PM.

Did anyone else experience this? Just wanted to bring it up so hopefully someone at D* will read this and see if they can get this fixed.

I'm moving this post to the HR20 forum for further discussion. Mark, you might also want to post in the issues thread for your receiver.

I also have a SL for Property Ladder and had to manually record this weekend's show.

Also, when I go to the SL and click on Episodes, I only see 1 episode for next weekend even though there are several reruns during the week. Originally I saw those reruns showing up in my TODO list, but now they are gone. BTW, I don't mind that they are gone since I only want first run anyway.

Bad guide date for that episode? That's the first thing I'd look at./

I agree since I had a recording issue on both my HR20 and my SD-DVR80 Tivo based D* receiver. I'm hoping someone from D* will see this thread and get it fixed (either at D* or contact TLC/Discovery to fix it).

Speaking of Property Ladder, can anyone believe the episode that aired a few weeks ago. This was the one with the 2 Mexican guys that were flipping a house in SoCal. The second guy was supposed to learn the ropes from the first guy. I forget the episode title.

That was the first episode of this show I've ever seen where I truly felt bad for the buyers of the house and not the flippers. That main guy was the cheapest greediest guy I have ever seen. Everything he was involved with looked like crap. The only good thing they did to the house was to put in the sod in the front yard. And that was done by the second guy against the main guy's will. Incredible!!! But the inside of that house looked so horrible, I can't believe anyone would buy it for near their asking price. The buyers must have had the worst agent ever.

I'm a couple of episodes behind, but mine recorded perfectly on Saturday 8/18. I have a SD TIVO that it was recorded on.

So I tried deleting the SL and recreating it but it didn't help. When I recreated it, I went to the guide for this Sat night's airing and set up the new SL from there. Now a few days later, the to do list is showing it will only record the 5:00 Sat episode (which is a repeat of last Sat's) but it is not going to record the 8:00 new episode that's in the guide.

Something is definitely screwed up with the guide data for this show. I've tried similar troubleshooting steps (deleting/recreating the SP) on my SD-DVR80 Tivo with no luck. Any suggestions?

If you're seeing an identical problem with your TiVo, the only possibility is bad guide data. You might try contacting Tribune or TLC, or just waiting it out. (not great choices I'll admit).

I can confirm an issue with getting this show recorded. I had the same problem starting with the 8/18 episode. I ended up creating a new SL for it on 8/25 and then after creating the new one, deleting the old one.
The new one does see all the episodes, and it recorded one at like 2 AM the other day, so I think I am ok again.

I'll have to try creating a 3rd SL and see if that works.

The same problems with Ice Road Truckers on THC, I am certain it is a guide data
problem.

Deleted SL and created a new one last night and now both the 9/1 and 9/8 8PM episodes are in the to do list. Looks like the guide data is finally fixed.
