I'll second that!

I wouldn't count on Minnesota Hockey being on Big Ten Network. Hockey is not part of the Big Ten. Minnesota hockey is WCHA, It will probably be on the RSNs like it always has been.

But most Big Ten schools have hockey teams, and there never was a Big Ten Network in the past....so just maybe.

Plus, since I live in Texas now - I don't think I'll be seeing much NCAA Hockey on FSN-SW :(

You gentlemen talking about Hockey made me, since I am a UNH Alum, look into what they have done in the past. While I went to school there, I never got around to going to any of the games and never really followed it. However, I thought they were decent and usually in the mix for National Contention, and the community there gets nuts about them. I would watch them on BTN given the chance, but unless BTN shows the Frozen Four (if it still exist, sorry I haven't followed it), perhaps my luck is out.

Not so fast my friend. The CCHA and WCHA have reached an agreement with BTN to carry games.

I echo what others have said, in the 30 minutes I was able to scan the channels this morning, Big Ten Network was the very best picture quality. CNNHD was a close second, but everything else was a little disappointing because they were only showing upconverted images that I could tell.

The Michigan ND game was probably the best football picture I've ever seen on my set. BTN looks great. I wonder if they'll show all the games in HD when multicasting...

Yeah like those collegians in 1980 who went on to beat the Russians in the Olympics. Real boring, eh? Lots of Big 10 guys in that group from Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Why is it when I do a search for Illinois, category: Sports, Football, there are never any results for any of the Big Ten Networks?

Try it yourself and see.
