I am having a 130ms audio sync issue with the video trailing the audio watching America's Hangar. That is some of the worst audio sync that I have seen even worse than TNT-HD.

One of the best for PQ though.

yeah audio sync is there. I just went home for lunch and checked a few channels out. I'm sure they'll work out the kinks :)

As reported here earlier, I'm also experiencing dropouts. Not frequently. Maybe every half hour or so. I've also got the audio synch issues.

This is probably the most value out of any channel we got today. really nice programming. Things we haven't seen before, beautiful HD quality, etc. A true HD channel.

It's described as a cross between the program NOVA (great science show on PBS) and The History Channel. I like that.

Earlier I was thinking, what kind of programming will I actually watch on this channel? Currently they are showing a show on the U.S. Postal Inspection Service which I didn't know existed and I have studied Criminal Justice now for over three years. Excellent show and I think programming is going to be good on this network.

Yep, audio sync problem here, too. Not by much, maybe a half second or so.

I think I read somewhere that they only have about 75 hours if programming in HD and they would be adding more as they go.

Anyone else having this problem on recorded shows on Smithsonian HD?

Start watching, plays fine for about 30-45 seconds, then an audio stutter and the screen goes black. After 4-5 seconds, the audio starts again, then the video comes back...

It's happening on ALL my recordings off Smithsonian...and on two boxes.

Had a couple of drops on Smithsonian HD (267), and I'm getting 90's+ on all 103(B) transponders...

Seems the lip sync issue is a bit better. Still there, slightly...

Otherwise, beautiful!

I just had the same issue for several seconds a few minutes ago, but not recordng. It was live. I got no audio stutter just got stuck on flashing part of the vdeo (like a slide) and then black screen. Audio kept going.

It's fine now.

My sat signals are great and no problem on other channels.

I got home from work to check out the new channels again and this one's PQ is the best of the new channels. Like you all though I am getting blackouts on occasion with the sound dropping out too. It does seem to be in sync though...again nice PQ.

I have been watching this most of the night after work. It froze briefly just once, but that only lasted about 7 secs. I think the audio is pretty close to being in sync, Not sure if its completly fixed or not. Of course this is the first day this channel is being broadcast period. There will probably kinks they have to work out on their end also.
