I had some issues in finaly getting the HD channels. I had a few that came in but standard fare ones like CNN HD were not coming through. Did the refresh service option on-line and finally caved in and spoke with a CSR. CSR sent a refresh signal, then asked to reboot receiver, then sent me to tier 2 support.

CSR in tier 2 asked if could get A&E in HD nope was the response. CSR decided to check my programming package and then initialized the channels. About 10 min total on the phone and finally all the HD channels came to life. There is my play by play. Now I just need a bigger hard drive!

PS: oh and when the tier 2 CSR finished helping me out, I though the mandatory, "Have I met your expectations..." speech was coming but instead was asked if I wanted to sign up for NFL Sunday Ticket? Huh?

Not that it counts, but this has my vote.
I feel a lot more like I do now, than I did when I first got here!

Ok ... here's my shot at it:

I got a dish, removed a tree
And read the forum endlessly
I tweaked alignments carefully
'Til I could tune 103b

The rumors buzzed electrically
Where were these wonders I would see?
And then last Wednesday, happily
I got my channels in HD!

Thanks, D* & everyone...

Oh ... reading back, it looks like I missed the deadline. Didn't have time to get "creative" 'til today.

Ah, well...

An officer pulls over a driver for going 45 in a 15 MPH school zone and eventually decides to issue a $500 speeding citation. As the offcer is explaining the citation, the violator breaks into tears, saying the end of the world is here, yadda, yadda.

At that point the officer tells the violator, it's not that bad, I do have some good news. The violator asks, "what's that?" The officer responds "I just got my new HD channels this morning from DTV."

What did you think I was going to say, I saved a lot of money by switching to Geico? :D

Althogh I'm the hypothetical officer in this post, I would never actually say that to a violator, but I did get my HD finally!! WooHoo.

You da man...

If I could sway the shadow, I would tell him this is it!

Oh, yeah, I got them too! Very nice.

Well, lets just say that since 1999 have been a DTV customer,
and now with the NEW satellites being launched & the Hd package & channels being added,
it sure makes tv viewing a lot easier & more enjoyable
HOW so??
well befor when i wanted to see a really beautifull picture on the tube,
the only way was hope the skies were clear for a good signal
and when it wasn't I had only one choice to get the signal or watch the program,

(picture) I had to go beyond the clouds,
NOW the signal comes to me. clato
