Hardly creative, but I was at the TV at 6:00 AM tuned to CNN, waiting for it to blossom into HD....and it didn't. Came here to see the avalance of complaints...but saw posts of the launch! Huh?

Oh, yeah. Forgot to change "My Favorites to the HD versions of the channels".

[Sound of me hitting myself in the head] "Doh, I coulda had an HD".

Bless, me, Directv for I have sinned...this will be first confession to thee.

On the 19th, I felt wrath in my heart, despite your troubles with the demon "Techdificultus"

I have coveted my neighbors Dish Network, even looking upon Voom with inexpicable lust.

I have spoken to false prophet CSRs, and taken their tales as gospel.

I have worshiped at the altar of the 103b signal meter, forsaking other true channels for its blue glow.

I had seen the signs on 498 of your HD coming, yet forsaken what they said...beginning to believe the infidels that said you would miss your September launch.

For your penence, I have scheduled launch on the day you work from 7am to 5pm, then have parent/teacher conferences. Thou shalt not gaze upon the promised land until at least 9pm, wife permitting.

Go with Earl

True story....

The Thai food I had last night didnt sit quite well with me....:(

In and out of the "Man Cave" all night long and decided to check the computer in between visits.... !pusht!

4:30 AM I see new HD channels on DBStalk!!!!!! :D

5:00 AM after another round in the "Man Cave" trying to purge the system of the Thai disaster from the night prior !pusht! , I woke the wife before she headed to work and made her go through all the new channels!!!!!! :icon_cof:

Thank God for Spicy Thai Food....if it weren't for that, I wouldn't have been able to maximize my HD experience! :D

PS....there is a $13.00 fee for a D* for a subscription to the "Man Cave" channel...not in HD yet, awaiting new satellite launch! :D

They said they would do it.
They did it when they said they would do it.
And, there is more coming over the next four weeks - also as promised.

D* did what they said, in spite of doubters.
Although this normally deserves no special praise, I praise D* and the fine folks at dbstalk for reminding me again that there really are people who deliver what they say!

An officer pulls over a driver for going 45 in a 15 MPH school zone and eventually decides to issue a $500 speeding citation. As the offcer is explaining the citation, the violator breaks into tears, saying the end of the world is here, yadda, yadda.

At that point the officer tells the violator, it's not that bad, I do have some good news. The violator asks, "what's that?" The officer responds "I just got my new HD channels this morning from DTV."

What did you think I was going to say, I saved a lot of money by switching to Geico? :D

Althogh I'm the hypothetical officer in this post, I would never actually say that to a violator, but I did get my HD finally!! WooHoo.

I was kind'o hoping you'd say, towards the end, that you slept in a Holiday Inn Express. ;)
