I'm getting 771 searching for signal on this one. I haven't tried a reboot yet. Should I?

Blue Jackets aren't in HD until Sunday. I believe the first event they could carry would be the Missouri/Kansas St game on Saturday. Also the OSU/Baylor game will be carried by FSN-Cinci, so that could also be a feed on this channel.

Well right now the Guide doesn't show anything thru Sunday. I guess I just expected all the hockey to be in HD but based on the schedule on the Jackets website, that doesn't seem to be the case.

It is not full-time. Evidently only when there is actual HD broadcasting?

Why was the Blue Jackets game on the SD and not the HD channel last night. It was listed as HD on another channel...

The game was not broadcasted in HD last night by either channel showing the game.

Where did you see it listed at as being in HD?

OK, so maybe I don't fully understand how this channel works. I get that it only turns on for games, but what games? FSN-Cincinnati, yesterday, carried the noon CFB FSN game, but didn't turn on the HD feed. Now this afternoon they're not carrying the Wings game in HD as advertised. Will this channel only carry those games originating from FSN-Cincinnati (Reds games)? Is that how this works for other regions?

Has anyone seen a listing of the Reds games on TV this year? More importantly, a listing indicating how many and which ones will be in HD?

Right now the broadcast schedule on the Reds website does not have any listing for TV games.

And based on the number of Jackets games this channel has shown (possibly 1), I wouldn't hold my breath for any HD games to be shown. There have been a number of times that FSN-Ohio has shown Jackets games in HD while FSN-Cincinnati has steadfastly promised "TO BE ANNOUNCED".

IIRC the FSN infrastructure is not capable sending all signals until they get a new broadcast center on line. Thought it was supposed to be up soon.

Reds games have been in HD on FSN-Cincinnati, but D* didn't carry the network (I'm really not sure how did). I would expect to see a few games this season.

Last year some of the games were shown on the 94/95 channel, but I would have hoped for a more consistent treatment with the "game only RSN-HD" channel that they are happy to count in the HD count that NEVER shows any HD.

Right now Sunday Morning 3/2 If I check on the future schedule on 638-1 FSNCIN, the only entry is "To Be Announced". Checking the same time frame (next two weeks) for 637-1 FSNOH, has two games shown a Cavs game on Sat 3/8, and a Blue Jackets home game on 3/9.

We don't get the Cavs on 638, so that is not really an indication, but we are in the "home" market for the Blue Jackets, and there is no reason that that game on 3/9 should not be available on 638-1. If there is a transmission capacity issue on the uplink, can they not simulcast the 637-1 signal on 638-1?

According to this article, FSN produced 33 games in HD last year: http://msn.foxsports.com/id/5585048

My hope is that FSN would produce more games in HD this year and that DirecTV would carry all available HD games on 638-1.

According to former Reds beat writer C Trent Rosecrans, there will be 145 Reds games on FSN Cincinnati in 2008, including 71 in HD. I don't have a link - this was posted by a reputable person on a Reds board.

:joy:
