It is in HD on 652 and 94.

Wow, thanks for the heads-up.

Now, the question I have is if 651-1 is launched, whey would they need to put the game on 94 versus 651-1?

At this point, I am not complaining, just curious. As long as the game can be watched in HD, I am happy.

Thats a good question. I looked up the HD schedule for FSN and it didn't even list this game being in HD under any RSN.

Basically, I have no idea how it works.

I'm not, as DirecTV has screwed up FSNNW-HD all year long, way back to the start of the Baseball season. Although they did get somewhat better when they started feeding Ch.96 on Ka/Mpeg4, they still managed to bugger up several HD games (ALL home games were produced and fed in HD this last season) that were carried on the FULL TIME FSNNW-HD channel on Comcast yet not carried even on the 'old' CH96 (before the 'supposed' switchover to the 651-1.

I have not seen ANY HD on the 651-1, although maybe I missed something. But, this being the biggest local game of the year, one would think DirecTV would be their act together this time, but NOOOOOOOO.

FYI, FSN-NW is the largest (by area) Fox Sports Net channel in the country, as their franchise area covers at least 5 (large, western) states as well as bits of at least 2 others. DirecTV really needs to get their act together on this channel.

The thing is that FSNW doesn't broadcast much HD content. They have Sonics games and all Mariners home games. Other then that their HD schedule is blank.

Are you not getting it on Ch94?

Just by watching the halftime show I can tell this isn't and actual FSNW broadcast. If it was, they would have our local anchors.

No, it is a Fox Sports broadcast. Just regional to the West Coast.

In fact, the feed on 94 appears to be Fox Sports West.

I guess moral is to always try 94,95 & 96. My guide did not show it on 94 even just a couple minutes before game started. Thanks.

I noticed on my HR10 that a hockey game was in the guide data but it got immediately overwritten with the football game. Either a change in plan or a mistake.

The hockey game listed was Redwings at Columbus. But I don't think that game is in HD (not listed on hdsportsguide.com) so they switched it.

Spurs @ Sonics should be on FSNW-HD tonight but I can't find it. Again, 651-1 just shows the "searching for Sat" error. I don't think this channel is launched at all.

Anyone seeing anything different?

Ok, I checked around with others that have cable, and apparently they are not shown in HD tonight. I guess I am just jumpy since I haven't seen any HQ programming on 651-1 yet.

According to HDSportsGuide, the Sonics should be on FSNW HD on Wednesday against Orlando. We will see.

The search continues....

Well it looks like the Sonics game will be shown on 651-1.

I want my Blazers on Comcast Sports Northwest. All they say now is "we are negotiating"

nothing beats having 651 being blacked out just about every other evening because a Sonics game is on, when the Blazers are playing on Comcast Sports Northwest.

I'm not holding my breath.

I believe it's the Blazers contract with Comcast that is holding this up.

Think about it. Comcast is showing commercials with some Blazer player that has just switch to the "Triple Play" bundle. Comcast has exclusive content rights to the 51 games. Comcast and the Blazers are in this thing together and they don't want to share.

Personally, I think that every Blazer fan that can't/won't get the Comcast channel should boycot the Blazers. Don't buy any merchandise, any game tickets, or anything else with a Blazer connection.

Once they figure out they've aleinated some of their fan base (especially when they are trying so hard to build it back up), then we'll see some movement on this issue.

My $0.02 worth of opinion.

Dale

Be nice today!

I would assume that the ratings for blazer games are pretty low considering you can't see it unless your with comcast.

If I were the Blazers, I would do anything possible to get that channel out to other carriers.

There’s been a few Sonic games. I don’t recall if there’s been any HD college hoops yet. Definitely one of the lamer RSN’s in regards to HD content. Seeing that FSN-NW was one of the RSN's Liberty received in the sale of Direct, I was hopeful that the HD content would have gone up. That hasn’t been the case so far.

I think you will see a lot more when the Mariners season starts. They had all the home games on FSNW in HD last season and they say there will be a "considerable" amount more this year.

FSN-NW is pretty lame with HD broadcasts and only show about 25 of the 41 Sonics home games in HD. They never show the Sunday college basketball games in HD even though they can be found in HD on other RSNs. Thankfully, I have the Sports Pack and can catch them elsewhere.

Here is a link that shows which games will be broadcasted on FSNNW HD which is almost all of them.

Just looked in the guide and it shows the Mariners game today on 651-1. Going to be sweet!
