Anyone get this yet?

I called 18777284788 (IPTV)
I suggest you do the same and take notes! Ask questions. the answers are scripted and if you try to deviate you start getting a lot of I don't know, sky angel hasn't released that info yet.

I was told by ROBIN the "satellite is dying" we pray it last until late pring/earlysummer through the "transition time"

a new transponder would have cost them 160 million dollars which they would need to earn from "monthly/annual subs every 10 years to stay in business"
"At that price the monthly/annual customers would be PRICED OUT" (her words)

she said they hd to make a decision to cease broadcasting or switch formats! she ffurther said the lifetime contracts do not mention a date (2002) to launch the new satellite. when asked if she had actually seen a contract the answer was no, but she was TOLD......

When asked about the lifetime subs she said "we don't make any money from them"!

when asked why the brochure doesn't not clearly state that DBS is being cancelled she said everyone has been informed on their MONTHLY statements since JUNE that DBS was being discontinued. Now I am lifetime and don't get monthly statements although she insists EVERYONE does as that is what she was told! then tried to tell me that my "address must be wrong in the system". when asked why I got the lifetime letter and now the IPTV letter but not monthly bills she had no answer yet again.

Most of what she said was I only knew what I have been told so far. last meeting was 3 weeks ago, first one was in JUNE. NO pricing is available, there is talk of a "possible adjustment for lifetime members BUT lifetime subs end with lifetime"

I asked a few more questions about neulion, the monitoring and reporting of channels watched (true), porn (true) etc.

Now she says they were told the neulion boxes would be disabled to ONLY allow skyangel broadcasting. that video clip from neulion clearly said any box, it didn't matter what label could subscribe to additional channels.

furthermore neulion said that THEY would handle customer service but she said sky angel CS will continue to handle it!

she then told me again how more info wold be on each monthly bill and that lifetimers will continue to get bills showing zero balance each month.

ONly thing she really KNEW was that IPTV would be up and running by the end of december. I find that odd with no prices for equipment, monthly fees etc........

also take note of page 8 last paragraph "what happens if there is a corporate change in control?"

Quite honestly is nothing but a load of baloney. A bunch of advertising telling how wonderful IPTV will be and a phone # 1877728IPTV to call for more info. The website, which is a lin to the main website is www.777.tvskyangel.com
the "letter" was one line and I quote " ENCLOSED IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR SKY ANGEL SUBSCRIPTION"

I told them the information they sent had nothing to do with me as I was a lifetime member and didn't want IPTV ! Played dumb and let them dig a nice deep hole before I started asking questions. Its not even really a sales pitch as they have nothing to sell, no prices etc. Really kind of odd, its almost as if they are waiting to see how many people will join BEFORE they set the price.

More choices, More channels , More control coming soon etc..............

funny thing is they say thanks to sky angel and sky angel IPTV MILLIONS of Christians like you will be able to bring faith home...........

Are they dreaming or do they really think that millions of people are going to sign up?

it then further says WE PRAY THAT WE CAN COUNT ON YOUR SUPPORT AS WE CONTINUE TO TRUST THE LORD TO GUIDE US THROUGH THIS CHALLENGING YET EXCITING REBIRTH! sincerely in Christ Rob Johnson

Couldn't they have trusted the Lord to continue the vision he gave Bob sr? Seems they are taking things into their own hands and then asking for our support and the Lords blessing. I though the Lord told Bob Sr that whole vision about the sky Angel, broadcasting the Christian message etc. As the Lord doesn't make mistakes.............

I too received the IPTV brochure from SA. Now, I am an annual sub and I do not receive any "monthy bill" stating anything from SA! If I were not keeping up with this message board, I would have never known that they are going to drop the satellite and go totally with IPTV at all! I've not been informed of anything changing concerning my DBS subscription. Yes, it is very strange that they are not saying a word about the switch at all. I have a friend that has SA and he lives out in the country. He does not have broadband and can't even get it if he wanted to. I guess he is totally out of luck once the switch is final. Too bad. He just got SA about 5 month ago and turned off his cable. I guess it will be coming back on now.
