Is it possible to hook a HR20 up to the network and access the recorded programs over the network via a windows PC? I saw a bunch of threads, but most of them were for sharing things on your PC. Any help/links would be great!

But hope in the future they may permit it. I think it's to prevent piracy of movies. If you can burn with Nero 7 movies to DVD they may not like to make it to easy for you. There are ways to connect it up to a DVD burner (some stand alone VCR/DVD recorders can be connected to any STB) to copy from the HR20, but not via networking.
Living Room: HR20-700S - OTA enabled; Networking & Internet working
Bedroom : HR20-700S - OTA not used; Networking & Internet working
Firmware on both units CE0x1C3
AT-9/Zinwell switch
Using WRT54GS firmware 7.50.02 Linksys for all devices and Internet. Working for download of On Demand. Disabled wireless for extra security.
Comcast Internet & Basic w/discount

Yea, it cannot be done yet like jtn said.

There is a help link for network in my signature if you feel like browsing around.

Have fun!
