i am getting the genie 2 with 2 more 4K mini's
one of the t.v's is not 4K if i have the tech disable the 4K on the mini that's hooked up to a non 4K tv will there still be handshake issues???
does it matter where the genie 2 and the power inserter are in the system as well
You can't disable the 4K on the mini If the TV is not 4K the mini will just default to the highest resolution it supports and you won't be able to watch the 4K channels And Not really on the second part
i don't know if they will or not. but a genie 2 with an HD mini 700.00 smakers a genie 2 with a 4K mini FREE. i am not going to pay for crap i don't own and is leased
I have a C61 client hooked up to my 4K tv but, I don't have 4K service /reciever. My reciever is the HR44. The C61 works fine. It may do the same in your case .

If there's still some a question about the PI with a Genie 2, its built in to the Genie 2. The installer will determine where the Genie 2 is best installed one they've had a chance to survey the situation.
