Didn't see one open already.... feel free to discuss anything Olympics...

Just my opinion they should use thay 6th box on the sports/Olympics mix with the Telemundo feed . If they can show NBC in the 1st box should be able to do Telemundo.

Also for those in larger markets, wish D* had the live NBC in 4K

Slightly un related .. but I remember the other year during the World Cup there was a national 4K feed (fox) and I was able to watch that even tho my local Fox was blocked due to nexstar/D* dispute...

So there have been national 4K feeds for large events such as this...

This isn't a major thing, but when I select NBC on channel 205, it goes to one of my local CW affiliates. I do have WNBC has my only DNS channel, so you think it'd just go there...

Edit: I should note that the CW affiliate that it tunes to, WNNE 31, used to be an NBC affiliate, basically a mirror of WPTZ 5, but they changed it to CW a while ago.

No...
In the Mix Channel 205, it is WNBC. When I select that channel, it does not take me to my local NBC, WBTS 10, it takes me to CW 31 WNNE. I personally have DNS NBC, which is obviously what is being shown in the 205 box, so why wouldn't it just go to that, NBCeHD 392, when I select it?

Most anomalies I've experienced (and some pretty bad ones) have come from the local NBC affiliate.

The cable channels (except for sometimes our RSN - non Olympic) are coming through pretty well.

Actual "lockups" on cable channels can sometimes be caused by the "local" ad-insertion process in some HRs. So far I've not had any problems with 355 (using the HR44) but haven't tried any other HRs yet.

I actually had to unplug and disconnect the HR20 as it started going ape$#!+. I assumed it could have been trying to load the Olympic "bloatware" last week.

(That old HR has had problems before with past Olympics. Or maybe it's just finally crapping completely out...)

OK folks does anybody else think the Directv Guide Data for the Olympics content is just awful, terrible, incompetent, ridiculous. Over the last week or so I've had atleast a 50% error rate on the Guide data vs what's in the video. 1) Complete wrong event 2) Time slot starts in the middle of the event 3) Time slot cuts off before the end of the event[Not - for "overtime" or delayed events]

Wouldn't that be NBC sending wrong data to gracenote ?
I'm honestly not sure how the whole process works but there are a couple of potential sources of issues. NBC could be providing junk to the "processor" or the processor or directv could be failing to push Updates as frequently as NBC is providing, maybe something else. Ultimately I don't care, I pay Directv, they are responsible for what they provide and managing their vendors - processor and NBC(who they pay for content). The experience stinks and Directv is responsible.

I'll just say tracking Olympics has been very confusing. I can usually track 4k events on multiple providers but this was a mess

Not every provider had same channels and in begining your right all the guide data was the same in the 4k guide
