In a post from last year you mentioned that a USB to serial cable should have the PL2303 and you warned against the PL2303X. Why is that? When I look at the data sheets they seem very similar. I have some PL2303X Rev A chips that I have integrated into a circuit so I won't need an external converter cable. My device generally communicates well with a D12, but sometimes the connection is randomly lost and I have to unplug and replug the USB cable. I don't think I can buy the PL2303 chips now. Only PL2303X.
