Replacement Remote Pairing

VIP 722 DVR
21.0 series remote

Some of the old remote buttons took multiple presses to register on DVR so Dish sent a new remote.
Is there a way to face them sensor to sensor to "clone" the new remote or do I have to go through the paring process with the new remote?

I should mention that all the inputs for different devices are selected via my Denon receiver which is controlled by the old remote.

Also, want to be able to continue to use the PIP function.

Thanks.

There isn't a "remote pairing" process so much as getting the remote address to match what is on the 722. You should be able to goto the Sysinfo screen and set the new remote address to be the same to change both so they are the same.

As far as mimicing the Denon - somewhere on Dish's website there should be a list of what you need to put on the Aux button. Most other functions (such as PIP) are possible given that you get the new remote talking to the 722 correctly.
