I've got the 55" 8000 display. Great displays. I tried for a little while to get it to control the Comcast X1 and gave up and I'm using the X1 remote instead. I had seen the input label instructions at AVS: 1. Press Source 2. Move the cursor to the source you change 3. Slide up on the remote...

My wife and I use a product called gsyncit to sync our Outlook (work) calendars and contacts to Google. The Google calendar is easily integrated to the calendar app on iPhone/iPad. It is also pretty easy to share Google calendars between users.

Why not shut the PC down when you aren't using it?

I like Adam Baldwin and Rhona Mitra, looking forward to this.

Sounds like a great feature to me.

Nope, I remember the series being billed as eight episodes. I too have no interest in Mind Games in part because of ABC's treatment of Killer Women.

If you have an iPad there is a TNT app. Looks like they stream stuff live. Looks like you can also go to http://www.tntdrama.com/ and use your Dish credentials as well.

I just don't get the thought process of TV execs. What would have been the harm in just broadcasting the eight episodes they have already made and paid for? The Olympics are on now anyway. I may hold off watching the last one, hopefully they will make the missing episodes available online.

Just watched all the broadcast episodes yesterday and I really enjoyed it. Very impressed with the job by Ms. Helfer. Don't think I've seen her in anything besides BSG. Sent from my iPad Air using Tapatalk HD

I have read serialized shows are popular with the streaming services due to a newish phenomena called binge viewing. Spend a day or two and watch an entire season. I sometimes do the same with the DVR. I'll record entire seasons of shows and watch them months later. The CW is supposed to be able...

No personal experience but I have seen the powerline adapters recommended in similar situations at security camera forums.

Since the camera has to be powered and near an outlet anyway wouldn't Powerline adapters be easier?

I have a similar package and just now pulled up the guide on Dish Anywhere. Channel 247, UNIHD is there. Pull the plug on your receiver to reboot and check again. If that doesn't work reach out to Dish.

I've been dabbling a bit with this. I've settled on http://www.blueirissoftware.com/ for PC based recording and monitoring. Most of the DVR's and NVR's tie you into a particular brand of camera. With Blue Iris you can pick whatever camera works for a particular situation. You do need the PC up...

The article in today's paper was a bit light on detail. Only speculation on why they are ending the joint venture.

With all the online weather info available I don't see why we need any weather TV channels.

According to a list seen elsewhere the only fees going up are Hopper related.

In my case my total bill will only rise 2-3%. Again IMO not too bad. I wonder if this is the price of getting Disney back on board?

I haven't received the letter or email yet but I agree with phrelin, 5 bucks isn't too bad.
