  1. DIRECTV HD DVR/Receiver Discussion
I flushed it yesterday by rebooting it a second time immediately after the first reboot. I didn't see Pandora or YouTube last night but it was there when I checked this evening. So they must have come back at some point. I don't know if the flushing did the trick but, yay. Thanks.
  2. DIRECTV HD DVR/Receiver Discussion
I received this update on the morning of 5/2/13 and so far I haven't gotten YouTube and Pandora back. System Test was ok. On Demand works. This is only for 1 HR24-500. The other two have You Tube and Pandora. I rebooted yesterday and this morning.

Thanks for the replies. If there is antenna feed there is in room (which may or nor still be there..doubt it): Could we diplex DirecTV and the antenna feed with this system? Can he have both antenna and this proprietary DirecTV feed another way?

My father is in a nursing home which has some kind of a custom DirecTV channel selection feed to it's rooms. All the channel numbers are different than mine and there only about 40 of them. From my understanding there are a few "receivers" which feed all the rooms in the facility. I...

So far we haven't seen any 'call extension 771' screens since the service call. I'vs checked the signals several times a day and there hasn't been any weird transponder losses. It's been about 61 hours since the service call.

That's good. They are all in the mid to upper 90s@101. It's the 99 and 103 sats that have a couple more 86-89 type readings, especially on 1 DVR.

The tech came today and found a bad connector fitting to the dish. He didn't think that the LNB was bad but to be safe changed it anway (and the fitting of course). My readings were slightly lower afterwards- a few more transponder readings in the 80s than before but he said it was fine.:eek2...

My service call is Thursday 8am-12pm. It's ridiculous. They just drop from 90s to 0 at the drop of a hat on a clear day. It's in and out.

It's currently out again and if a mod cares to edit it's actually the odd transponders that are out. I don't think it matters diagnostically. Channel 302, for example is showing "searching for satellite signal" on all the receivers.

That's great that you resolved it. I don't use BBC's.

It's random in my case too. Comes and goes frequently..

    Yes, it's a SWM LNB. There are 2 splitters: a 4-way & a 2-way feeding 3 HR24s, a H25 and a CCK. Thanks.

I've noticed lately that I'm getting frequent 771 errors even in good weather on certain channels and when I run the signal strength readings, they're all in the 90s for 99 and 103 but the 101 shows 0 for the even transponders on all receivers. The odd transponders are all all real high. Do you...

Try rebooting the unit twice in a row and then waiting. On one unit, it updated after one reboot immediately. You may get lucky.

That's your opinion. In mine, since I laid out 'x' amount of dollars in several months time to use their subscription and the on demand/download service, I should be entitled to view the show(s) that I downloaded. I could see not being able to go and download others but ones that I have...

I'm not too happy that 'On Demand' Showtime shows I downloaded months ago won't play back now because I'm not subscribed anymore. Give me a break. I was subscribed when I downloaded them. Seems unfair. Of course, if it was recorded off of the regular Showtime channel I would be able to play...

Sorry to list my charges again but: TC+@$64.49 + $7 DVR fee=$71.49 »Choice Extra Plus Classic (or whatever it'll be called) $68.99 + $8=$76.99 »This sure feels just like an 8% increase inclusive (not 4%)and I doubt it's costing DirecTV any more for me to use the "DVR Service" these...

Am I correct that Total Choice Plus customers like myself will be converted to Choice Extra Classic and hiked up from $64.49 to $65.99? So that and the $1 DVR fee hike will raise my bill $2.50. I'm liking TBlazer's figures with FiOS and I'll be there come May. The handwriting is on the wall...

Select then Play most of the time. edit...I meant selecting by highlighting and 'Play'.. Sometimes, I'll hit 'info' after highlighting the episode in the list in order to confirm the original air date.

Plus, of course their signal holds up in thunderstorms and snow storms.
