  1. DIRECTV General Discussion
I had it directv satellite and decided to switch because the streaming service was about $100/month cheaper. I got rid of it. Unless things have changed you don't have channel numbers without their boxes, a minor annoyance and believe me their boxes aren't all that great, ours frequently needed...

I have the problem mentioned above, I have the one flex box they give to their internet customers and can watch premium on it. If I go to the website and try to link it says my xfinity service does not include premium. I currently have att basic plan netflix, amazon, acorn, sundance now and HBO...

I have set the box up on my Samsung tv's with one minor issue, it thinks it is D* box and when I turn off the TV the samsung remote turns off the box, but will not turn it on. I might be able to fix this if I knew who makes the box.

We switched to ATT, but only got the cheapest package. We had Directv and we were paying $160 per month which was absurd since except for PBS we never watched anything that wasn't in the cheapest streaming package, which is $50 now, and $93 next year. I would bet that PBS will eventually be...

I have an HS17 and three wireless clients. One client, soon to be removed because it goes to an RVU Samsung (that Directv could not figure out that it had RVU) which is near the HS17 and suffers connection problems. I believe it is because they are too close to each other, a problem soon to be...

So I cleverly clicked on the RVU option on my tv, tried to activate it with a swap but eventually it gave me a different 800 number and I spoke to a tech representative who said I need a different DECA (I have a moCA) and they will send and also a installer to put it all together for me, no...

I told them 4K but the CSR seemed off in the ozone somewhere.
  8. DIRECTV HD DVR/Receiver Discussion
And if I then deactivate one of the wireless clients, does that reduce my bill by $7? Thanks
  9. DIRECTV HD DVR/Receiver Discussion
So.... I should be able to tell them I have an RVU tv and I can un pig th wireless client and have them give me 4K? And what are the odds that I can get a CSR who actually knows enough to to this? Thanks
  10. DIRECTV HD DVR/Receiver Discussion
So is it possible to get 4K via the RVU in the Samsung or do i need a wired client? And if so, is there an extra charge? Also, i told them I always preferred wired boxes........Thanks
  11. DIRECTV HD DVR/Receiver Discussion
This is probably posted somewhere, but I can't figure it out. I just got a genie 2 and 3 wireless clients. I also have a new Samsung which, according to Samsung is RVU capable, although i can't find it in the manual. I was under the impression that I could now have 104-106 in 4k and did not...

I have an HR44 and two HR 24's. I subscribe to center ice and as I have had problems with a recording or two often record the games I want to watch on more than one machine. The other night I had an issue with the HR44 and wanted to watch the feed on one of the 24's'. The game was about an hour...
  13. DIRECTV General Discussion
well, my biggest issue (and mod, feel free to move, just let me know if it appears somewhere else) is NHLCI. I really do not like the idea of having any ATT product in my house, not that I am all that in love with Comcast which is my ISP. SO....... if I ultimately decide that a comcast bundle is...

pardon my naivety, but what channel is "free speech tv?"

OP here, I was able to watch on CI. NHL Network is obnoxious, but MSG has had some evenings with lots of games across the various MSG channels and a crawl directing you to the channels showing the other game, so it has been a little less advantageous of late.

On Sunday the Hawks game is on NHL Network and the Rangers/Canes are on 215-1. I assume as a Ranger fan in Chicago that i will have to watch the Rangers on 215-1, not on CI

I have a friend with U Verse and it may be that he does not know how to do it, but he is (apparently) unable to pad sports recordings. Hence we watched a hockey game at his house on the local RSN which he had recorded. We had to watch the game, and with about four minutes left had to switch to...

I agree the ticker is useless, but that is because I like to watch games, as do, apparently many who post here. As far as I can tell, that is a lost preference. We must be entertained by flashing scoreboards, bare chested dancers in the stands (I have been to Columbus twice to see the Rangers...

I live near Chicago, and in general I like Edzo, way more than the shrieking Pat Foley. However, I truly believe that no one who does a local team should call a nationally televised game involving that team. Last year Andy Brickley called a Rangers Bruins game on NBC. He referred to the Bruins...

For all but the last game I too would have preferred Sam and Joe, but listening to Bob Errey in game 7 would have been wonderful.
