Nobody is competitive with anybody today. Covid-19 has decimated new content in ALL services. Streaming only gives you more access to old programming that you might have missed.

Killing Eve is fully available on Britbox. You can take advantage of the initial discount to binge or just keep the app until your done with the shows that you want.

If there aren't 2 accounts, that would be a reason not to want a tech to install. :D

No one gets a new piece of hardware without a 2 year commitment. No one gets a truck roll free (Hopper installation) without the protection plan or a fee. What's the problem? I guess you can skip the value of Dish's Hopper system and go somewhere else for a new customer deal, your loss. The...

This thread will become a cumbersome monster, with posts hard to find or irrelevant. So be it.
  6. General DISH™ Discussion
Why a "megathread"? disputes need to fade into oblivion when settled.

My price went down $25 when HBO/Cinemax went away (before the unrelated Feb $5 increase).

Having had 622s, a 722, 2 Hoppers, and now a Hopper3, I have no idea why anyone would want 622/722 DVRs that can only support one HDTV, the rest of the output is SD. It takes a nanosecond to get used to and appreciate the Hopper interface and its capabilities. I'm sorry you VIP lovers, you are...

I don't think the original Hopper is offered any more to new customers.

The Hopper IS the regular DVR at Dish. It comes in three varieties. Hopper - 3 tuners, Hopper3 - 16 Tuners, and the emasculated but a bit cheaper to rent, Hopper Duo. It is absolutely worth it to insist on a Hopper3 and even pay an upfront upgrade feet. It rents at the same price as a Hopper.
  11. General DISH™ Discussion
Nope, I've never done anything but deal with Dish directly for rental and upgrades with each new DVR.

Simply the nature of client server... Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Glitches get fixed in periodic software updates. As I said before, features that are different than DTV are not going to be changed for a DTV customer waltzing in here. Just learn how things work. It won't take long to appreciate that the Hopper3 is far superior to what you had before, both in...

Sorry to offend, but my response was directed at this. An awful lot of us are happy that the Hopper3 doesn't work like DTV's equipment.
  15. General DISH™ Discussion
Who cares about your "differences"? I've had Hoppers and a Hopper3, each since first appearing, and love the functionality and absolutely trouble free operation. Nobody is going to change how they operate because you don't like it. Failures happen with any electronics. Once you get your...

Just learn to use the Dish equipment the way it was designed. No one is going to change it just for you.

Select Menu and the Prime Video button will be on the screen. Works great.

I reiterate, the Hopper3 is quiet unless you have one of those extremely rare malfunctions that seem to follow FramerBob around.

So you have a technical problem with a feature that works for just about everybody. You could use this forum to get help, or if you haven't yet, go to Dish tech support. Without explaining your setup and asking for help, you post a rant with a ridiculous thread title???? Good luck. Maybe...
