Obvious suggestion, but certainly appreciated! Been there, done that. If there's a time setting in the app, I'm not seeing it. I wouldn't mind if it had the programmes to match.....

Well, this is bizarre. The time bar down the left side of the guide is seven hours ahead of where it should be, but the correct programmes for the current time are displayed! It only happens on the app on a brand new Sony TV - the TV itself displays the correct time, derived from the home...

I read something a few weeks back that there were supply issues with the Alexa voice control part of it. I bought three via Best Buy, but had to do so as and when they became available.

Indeed. There's an initial up-front "Capital Investment" - in my case, I'll recover that in two months, but I got the Fire TV boxes on six months interest-free credit. I'm already ahead of the game, so to speak.

Got an e-mail re this yesterday evening. I might have read it had I not cancelled in the morning.....

    What sports do you want?

Well, I've done it. After nine years, I've cancelled service. Personal circumstances have caused us here to take a hard look at what we're spending our money on, and we're getting everything we normally watch (and a bit more besides!) via PS Vue on Fire TV boxes for a quarter of what we were...

Here's what I find amusing about the whole "Dodgers Channel" thing: Spectrum, Charter, or whatever they're called, are constantly bleating about it being unavailable on other providers. Yet, as Time Warner Cable, several years ago they were asking their customers whether they should "Roll Over...

Just recently been having a look along these lines here for a variety of reasons: We watch six locals (mainly for news), NBCSN/Extra Time, FS 1/2 (occasionally) and USA. I recently tried Vue at my son's suggestion - we'd get all we want for $45/month as opposed to the approximately $170 we're...

Thanks! I also found this: Coax MoCA Network Adapter ECB2500c from Actiontec

Looking to go to PSVue in the next few weeks - my "primary" TV doesn't have ethernet nearby and getting a wired connection to it would be a PITA. Wireless streaming works pretty well, but is there anything out there that can send ethernet over coax (RG6) at a level that supports streaming video?

Ah! All makes sense now. From what I understand, the Fire boxes are 60 fps-capable. Thanks!

Watching Premier League via the NBC Sports app - only criticism is that the picture looks a bit "filmy", like watching in the cinema. Anyone else noticed this? I'm presuming it's a limitation of the old Roku.

Thanks! I'm purely trying it out just now, but will certainly keep that in mind when/if I switch.

Presently trying Vue on an older Roku and have been impressed so far, especially with the "mirroring" for local news that's not on Vue. We're not huge TV watchers here (news, Jeopardy, Wheel, soccer and wrestling), so can get everything we want for about a third of the cost. I can see Direct...

Thanks! I think I'll be giving it a try.

9-year DirecTV customer, taking a hard look at what I'm paying for service. Does anyone know if the NBC "Extra Time" Premier league coverage is carried on any of the streaming services? I like to have all games available and often pick one of the "offbeat" ones.

My advice on this is to go on to the "Live Chat" and ask for confirmation that they don't want them back. That way, you get a transcript of the "discussion" which you can present in the event of dispute.

    That did the trick! Thanks!

Remote is straight out of the packaging. When I go to "Program Remote" it takes me to the IR/RF selection, can't get to the bit where I'm supposed to choose the TV (box is a C51-700). I have a vague recollection of seeing this issue mentioned before.
