  1. DIRECTV General Discussion
Last night when I went to a League Pass HD channel, I got an error--not subscribed. I could receive the SD version okay. Is this a system problem?--mine or DTV.

JBv is right on. We did that for almost 2 years before moving permanently to the second home. We did it often and never had a problem with calling in to change the locals. Movers connection set us up in the second home.

Local HD came back, but here is a dumb question. How do you get to see the SD channels? They don't show up in the menu.

I'm in Georgia and there is no local coverage scheduled. The local station has another game listed. That eliminates any blackout problems. I still believe it is a DTV goof. They have already listed the games on the other Sunday Ticket channels.

I'm looking forward to recording the New York Jets at the Miami Dolphins game Sept. 20. The online schedule says it will be on 710. When I open the guide at 710, it says to be announced. The other games are listed. Anyone know if this will be fixed before it is too late? DTV scores again.

Kevin, do you have any idea how we can prevent the signal from going "out of sync". It's a pain in the butt.
  7. DIRECTV General Discussion
We lived in one state and had a vacation home in another state. I called DirecTV and they said that I could use mover's connection to setup a dish and connections at the second home. We went back and forth many times a year (not 52, but I never had any indication that there was a limit) and...

I accepted the install without a fuss for the same reason. I thought my odds for a new receiver were greater. I was right. I got a new HR24. I got my offer when I called to have the dish realigned because of a storm. They would not let the same tech who did the realignment install the HR24. I...

I took the "free" upgrade from a H24 to an HR24. I love the extra recording space. Of course, the upgrade is just to get you hooked to a new 2-year deal. I don't care because I have no plan to leave DTV because I'm hooked on Sunday Ticket. The "free" part includes a $49 install fee. They will...

We were having that problem. When tech came to realign our dish, he said that audio dropout should go away. Thus far, it has. He claimed that a dish slightly out of line can have audio dropouts. He said audio will drop much more quickly than video. Don't know if that is accurate, but it might be...

Wow. You should have had my tech. He wasn't satisfied until everything was in the mid to upper 90s. This guy knew his stuff and he was patient enough to do it right.

Mikeny, I just wanted to give you an FYI. We've had the same problem with losing some channels. A tech came today and he found the dish out of line. He adjusted it and we are getting great signal strength and all the channels are working like a charm. We also found out that the occasional loss...

Well, it is nice to know that we are not alone. We noticed Hallmark getting searching for satellite and when I started looking around, there were several channels with the same problem--notably Discovery, TLC, HGTV, Food. I thought there might have been shift in the dish because of nasty storm...
  14. DIRECTV HD DVR/Receiver Discussion
Just wanted to update on my earlier post. Later in the day, the sound worked fine without any reboot. It was just a problem for a few hours in the morning. Go figure?

I received the update on my HR24 this morning and ever since the sound cuts out about every 5 minutes. I wonder if it is related.

We received a new version of software for our HR24 last night. Today, the sound cuts off about every 5 minutes. Does anyone know if there is a relationship to the new software? Wonder what it offers.

I think that the "mover's connection" is the best option. All that is required is that you bring the receiver(s) back and forth. Each time you switch locations, you can call and have the locals switched as well. We did it for a long time before selling one of the homes. There's no extra charge.

Thanks, RacJ2, but we don't have any recordings to worry about. It is an H24, not a DVR. A replacement is on its way, according to DTV.

Thanks for all of the input. I really appreciate the help. My next step is to give DTV a call.

Drucifer, I ran the system test and it told me that the receiver had 1 error. It gave a diagnostic code of 12-150. What is that telling me?
