  1. DIRECTV Programming
I'm a D* customer with just less than a year in (started service last October) and I had Sunday Ticket Max free last year as part of the new service. So today, I finally called up to cancel Sunday Ticket because I definitely wasn't paying $225 for it. I had already been charged two monthly...
  2. DIRECTV General Discussion
I've already passed the 40 minute mark awhile ago. For me, it can sometimes be 40 minutes per storm.
  3. DIRECTV General Discussion
So far this summer, my satellite has been out before I even knew a storm was coming a few different times. I looked right at the radar and sure enough, a big t-storm was coming right from the SW.
  4. DIRECTV General Discussion
So I had my D* installed back in October, and I've noticed that we seem to be having a problem losing our service during storms, usually right before the storm gets here, during the storm, and a few minutes after, and then it comes back up. I found this template on this site, and I was hoping...

I thought the same thing! I immediately looked for a message on the receiver or even an e-mail from them, but nothing, so I thought maybe somehow they messed up the account so then I look online at account management and it still showed Choice. Then I searched a little further and came across...

I just turned my TV to find that we have more channels than usual! It appears we have a freeview of the Choice Xtra package. I haven't seen it anywhere on here yet so I figured I'd post. According to this site we have a Choice Xtra preview from May 27th until June 3rd. Enjoy!!
  7. DIRECTV Tips and Resources
I can confirm that WCWN is indeed an HD feed, not just MPEG-4 SD. The guide lists the shows in HD, and my TV shows it as an HD resolution.
  8. DIRECTV Programming
The CW in the Albany, NY market, WCWN, has gone HD with DirecTV sometime within the last week. It's been available in HD OTA and via TWC for years, but DirecTV has finally started to carry the HD feed. I'm assuming it must be something to do with the new agreement with Sinclair.
  9. DIRECTV Programming
I'm in the Albany, NY DMA and Sinclair owns our CBS (WRGB) and The CW (WCWN). Here's for hoping they at least force DirecTV to carry the HD feed of the local CW which has been HD on cable for years now and is now HD on Dish.
  10. DIRECTV Installation/MDU Discussion
And there it was!! After you said that, I realized the installers had left a brown box with another small brown box inside that I had set aside. Sure enough, inside the smaller brown box were some metal terminators! Thank you!
  11. DIRECTV Installation/MDU Discussion
I've looked around. It definitely didn't fall off or get left behind.
  12. DIRECTV Installation/MDU Discussion
It's just a plastic cap. Where would I be able to find a metal terminator?
  13. DIRECTV Installation/MDU Discussion
I had DirecTV installed about a month ago. I got an HR34 and 3 H25's, and I can't tell you how awesome it's been. Coming from cable, it's like a whole new world. Now after looking some stuff up, I've got a question. The way the DirecTV installer did it, the coax from the satellite dish goes...
