My only problem with this, is unlike traditional buisness, where a buisness can change suppliers for thier products, TV providers can't. And Networks and the prices they set for providers for their content is what drives the consumer price, not the Provider itself. The fact there is zero...
  2. DIRECTV Programming
The biggest driver behind price changes is programming costs continually increasing. This is why sports is becoming so contentous, because it's the last bastion for live eyeballs on commercials for ad revenue, as most people don't DVR sporting events, instead wanting to watch them live. Not to...

Bear in mind that you don't pay reciever fees at all. You pay for services. The DVR and HD fee are for those services, not the equipment. You get one 10$ charge a month whether you have 1 DVR or 20 DVR's. Same on the HD. I'm not sure why people find fees for these services out of place, yet they...

Guess Scott Hall's thinking was right! Razor announced last night on Monday Night Raw :rolling:

I think in general, you will see DTV standing up to more and more sports related programming. The costs for them are getting more outrageous, which would be surprising to me, considering it's the last bastion of live programming for ad revenues. What I mean, is that because it's easier to get...

Updated Hall of Fame for 2014: -- Ultimate Warrior Jake "The Snake" Roberts Lita Paul Bearer/Percy Pringle Carlos Colon Mr. T (Celebrity Ring addtion, long overdue imo considering his history in the genisis of the non-territorial WWE) -- I'm actually curious to see if Taker will actually be the...

So, with a few weeks gone by, was wondering thoughts on WWE Network. While their actual original/live programming is still a little thin/raw, I will say, i'm quite happy with their on demand selection/library. The 9.99 alone is worth it for me, just for that. I was also very impressed with their...

Ah, see, i would absolutely /hate/ suggestion one. The list button is meant to be a shortcut to the playlist. I'd hate for it to lose that direct to playlist functionality. Not to mention I could imagine the disasters that would occur when people not affluent in the technical side, being taken...

Also, to clear the confusion: WatchESPN access is dictated by your TV provider, ESPN 3 access is dictated by your Internet Provider. ESPN has a page that goes into full details on it.
  10. DIRECTV Programming
Actually, that was ESPN's doing, not DTV's. They said when they launched WatchESPN that they would not negotiate to add it during any current agreements, only when the agreement with that particular provider was up.
  11. DIRECTV General Discussion
That's because ESPN 3 games are dependant upon your internet provider, while WatchESPN is dependent upon your TV provider.

Just to clarify, it's not a special definition of latest. The model of reciever you get is based upon availability in the warehouse (if drop shipped) or in the case of a tech, their warehouse they get thier equipment from, when your order is filled.

Just be aware before removing he Protection Plan, that you would lose any free upgrade eligibility from it that you currently have. You get a free no charge upgrade every 2 years as long as you have it now. That starts over if you remove it and then readd it.

Ah. Sadly, i think they will follow through with Taker/Lesnar, which makes me a little sad on the inside. Still should be an okay match though. I seriously think this is Takers last though. His body just can't take it anymore. As to Scott Hall, i'm not sure WWE would induct him as a singles...

An R22 is a recoverable reciever. Just call DTV and you can have a recovery kit sent out for it.
