First Vote: Did you get it
Do you mean 81f8? Because that is what I got tonight?
If it's 81f8, then I voted right. If not, then I voted too early.
Same release notes as 0X1F8?
I recorded a show off of the OTA tuner tonight and then watched it. The only problem I had was at the 27 min mark of a 30 min show I was FF to the end and it got stuck in a loop and would not go pass the 27 min mark. But, if I would let it play normal speed it would go pass it to the end where it asked me if I wanted to keep or delete.
81f8 came down this evening.
Received the forced push before 7 PM ET tonight, about a minute after I had finished the OTA Setup process. It scared me!
Anyway, I'm noticing that the guide is very slow to display - could be because new data is being processed, or could be related to the same slow-guide issues seen in the HR20-700 CE release.
I also have a long delay when going to the OTA signal strength screen - the screen clears and only shows the blue background for around 30 seconds before going to the signal strength screen.
I have had the slow guide and channel changing issue for the last couple of weeks now on my HR21-700
I have noticed that the response time to remote commands is quite variable. Sometimes it's almost immediate, sometimes it takes so long, I begin to wonder if the command took at all. Can't suss out any correlations or patterns, though.
I'd have to agree with this. Also,I have the banner time set to 2 seconds and often the banner will disappear after a channel change before showing the new channel. The HR20 has also had this problem for the last few CEs.
Not really an issue, at least not with the AM21 but I didn't know where to post this. On the HR20, I always have to crank up the volume on the OTA channels. On the HR21 with the AM21 attached, the volume level of the OTA channels is closer to the other DirecTV channels. On second thought, maybe this is an issue with the HR20.
I've noticed this also. Plus the info banner is too slow to update, that's if it even updates, when changing channels using ch +/-. I'm set on the default, 4 seconds
Issue: Can't use CHANNEL-UP and CHANNEL-DOWN as page commands to navigate the menus on the OTA setup screens.
Description: Throughout the rest of the GUI, you can page up and down in menus by pressing the CHANNEL-UP and -DOWN keys. Go to Sat & Ant under setup, though, and you can't use CH-UP/-DOWN at this level or under Edit Off-Air Channels.
I agree with the guide disply being slow. It takes about 5 seconds. (on stop watch) to actually show the data. Changing channels has gotten better. OTA is working, but I haven't recorded anything yet. This push arrived about 6:50 pm!
I noticed that last night myself.
Dang it. Between church, funeral visitation and the UK game I didn't get a chance to get back on here last night to see the latest news. I will have to check when I get home tonight to see if I got the push. You can't stay away from here too long or you miss alot!
I've noticed that when tuning OTA channels while using ch +/- that you sometimes get a quick flash of the "no signal" blue box as the channel tunes, like there is a brief, initial delay in the signal being sent from the AM21 to the HR21.
Yes, I have also seen that.
The HR10 does the same thing (low volume on OTA channels), so if the AM21 somehow equalizes the levels, that is wonderful.
Every OTA channel that has signal reports a signal strength of 77% without any variation. HR20s all report 95-100 with some small amount of fluctuation. As expected all channels that I don't get report 0 on both units.
The AM21 is on top of the HR21 and this was immediately after power up and configuration. The unit had been acclimating to indoor temp and humidity all afternoon and evening.
