Which title did you download? I want to be able to replicate what you experienced.

    Strange thing tonight -
    Native On...
ESPN HD on Channel 206 - HR21 front panel light reports 480i - TV info agrees. (Picture looks like HD, however - No pillar bars.)

Switched to Channel 73 ESPN HD - HR21 front panel shows 720p - TV Info confirms.

Switching back and forth - repeatable.

Caller ID has not worked for me since the 2-1 CE. Does not work on 0x81F8 either.

While watching the Suns game on FSNAZ 649-1, we left the station tuned to this channel after the game was over. Since 649-1 is only active part time, the signal for the game dropped and the DTV logo screen appeared. When I looked at the TV about a half hour latter, the logo screen was still there but it was flickering up and down lilke it lost sync. I then tuned to 12-1 the local NBC OTA station and the same flickering was there also. This happend to all mpeg4 and OTA channels. I continued to select different stations and the flickering stopped, but there were two 1" high checkered bars across the very top of the screen. When a menu was displayed, the checkered bars went away, but reappeared as soon as the menus were exited. I tuned to an SD channel (287) and the picture and sound were fine. I then went back to an mpeg4 channel and the screen went blank and had no audio, I then tuned to an OTA and it had a good picture and the sound was fine. I then selected a local mpeg4 channel and all was fine there. The system appears to operating correctly for now.

    In the 0x1FE post [post=1443273]1443273[/post]:

Looks like the issue isn't only with our current version of code. This is the exact issue I'm having now.

+1, I had that happen when I went to test Media Share. Had to reboot to clear the video title also.

Oh, just for the record, since it's a constant issues I've been experiencing since 1st reporting, the trick play delay for recorded OTA shows is aggravating.

I was checking a test recording that ran from 3-4 central on OTA 8-1 and all seemed fine until the show was about to cut to the 1st commercial break. I noticed some a/v glitches and playback just froze. I was also recording a program on 8-1 at the time and I think it was tuned to 6-1 in the background. Had to rbr.

After rebooting, I went back to the problem recording and skipped ahead of the point where I had trouble. All was fine there. I rewound to just prior to the problems and playback was fine. Not sure what caused the a/v glitches and freeze.

Yes, weird indeed. I was about to do a menu reset, but the last channel change brought everything back to normal. Haven't had much time to use it today, the NASA chanel was fine, but that's an SD transmission. Compny tonight, so further testing has to wait until they leave.

Not sure if its related to 81f8 or not, so...

Anyway, something is giving my network fits. Some web sites will just sit and stall for a long time and either time out or after a long wait come up. If I unplug all my HRs from the network, all is well again.

I've since reset network defaults and re-ran network setup. So far, all seems ok.

I confirmed that with 0x81f8, the VOD will not download. The download percent counter increments, but if you hit play at any time, you get a black screen, similar to the black screen bug. At that time all mpeg4 are disabled. If you switch to an SD channel normal operation is restored. I tried an experiment and unplugged the USB connection to the AM21 and had the same result. An HR20 that is daisy chained to this HR21s internal ethernet switch downloads VOD correctly. I went to my other HR21 which is running 0x1fe and it also downloads VOD correctly. Prior to getting any of the 0x81fx sw, this HR21 downloaded VODs correctly. Looks like we have a genuine SW bug.

I tried to duplicate your issue and kind of did. I was on a OTA local and downloaded the Wizards of Winter video. I started to play it when I had a green bar. I lost the OTA channel to a black screen and the video did not play. I hit the select button a second time and the video played and the record light went out. I could be it would not play until the download was complete.

I will try and play with it some more later today.

Issue: Can not view current channel after screensaver kicks in over the Satellite Signal Strength screen.

Description: Tuner was on 242 USA HD. Went to Satellite Signal Strength screens and looked at all sats. Left the room for a bit, came back around 15 minutes later and the Screen Saver was on. Hit EXIT and saw was still on Sat Signal Strength screens. Selected DONE and then went back to live TV by hitting EXIT. Instead of live action, the screen was black with no audio, and trick-play did not work. Waited a few minutes, still only black screen. Hit channel up then down to return to USA and live action was restored.

Issue: The signal strengths on the spotbeam satellites are incredibly slow to populate.

Description: HR21-700 is connected via SWM5 and the 101°, 110°, 119°, 103°(c) and SWM strengths populate very quickly. The 99°(s) and 103°(s) strengths crawl at a rate of around a minute-and-a-half per transponder.

(Note: The same delays are seen on my HR20-700 connected via BBC and my HR20-700 via SWM5.)

On a second try I was able to duplicate your issue. Unable to play a VOD while downloading. It also knocks out OTA HD until you change channel.

Issue: Sporadic sound dropout after using Instant Replay.

Description: When watching live TV or playlist recording, use of Instant Replay occasionally is followed by around 2 seconds of no audio. Inconsistent when it occurs. Experienced this on MPEG4 HD channels and on OTA WLIW-DT2 (PBS).

Audio is played via TV speakers, using HDMI from HR21 to TV.
