    I'm sorry but Sacramento and Las Vegas - really? Maybe for unemployed 30--year-old nerds living in their parent's spare room or nerds who fall in the category of having personality disorders.

    But for me, a city that is good for nerds offers great opportunities for nerds to live a full life beginning with some semblance of economic opportunity as a nerd. Portland, Seattle, and San Jose do offer that beginning point.
