I am in AZ. I have SL5 4-wire going into SWM8. Line-of-sight no obstructions. Suddenly noticed CNNHD pixelizing and freezing. Other 99(s,ca,cb), 101,103(s,ca,cb),119 fine strong signal in the 80's,90's & 100's.
Run the setup and it shows 99,101 & 119 have odd and even checkmarks but 103 has red x-es.
I see that the SWM8 has two cables connected to ports marked for 103/110/119. I wonder - if this was a cable issue I should have a problem also with 110 & 119 which Signals are just fine. And would I see 103(s,ca,cb) signals in the mid- hi- 80's? Many zeros on 103(s), with no odd/even pattern.
    What next? Please guide me.

    First...

Do you subscribe to Spanish channels? If not ignore 119

    Ignore 110 no matter what.

    Also ignore 103 s and 99s

Then you are left with numbers you need to look at. Are numbers missing from 103 a or b? If so it’s likely a cable issue or a swim 8 or lnb issue. I’d check to make sure all connections are right first. I’m sure the cables are in the right spots because if they where they you’d have had issues long ago. (Assuming those has been installed for quite a while)

What’s your actual signals on 103 a and b and 99 a and b and 101? Can you take a picture of each of those and post it?

Getting 119 signals doesn’t necessarily mean the cables can’t be bad.

I checked the connections and they are tight. The whole thing worked fine for at least a year. I think 1-1/2 yr ago it was repointed by DTV tech.
If it is LNB can I replace it with SL3 or maybe SL5 single wire or SL5RB?
But my problem is that I need to feed OTA into the inhouse coax - this is why I stayed with the SWM8 channel. Many a time, when bad weather strikes the only good signal is from OTA. Thus I need to stay with SWM8ch unless there is some other way that does not require pulling additional coax through the house.
    Any advice is appreciated.

Pictures with signal strength in the separate post.
I tested the suspect cable that does carry CNNHD, MSNBCHD & 283 Animals. I hooked it directly to one receiver, selected 18" round antenna and multiswitch - the setup returned a perfect 101 sat.
Connected back thru SWM8 channel thing and came back with ERRORS with sat 103 with two red X on both tuners, and on both receivers connected on separate distribution cables.
Do I get it right: the cable antenna to SWM8 is fine? Or is it that 101 came thru fine but the cable is no good for 103?
Should I first replace LNB or SWM8?

Took a guess and replaced SWM8 channel switch - this may have solved the issue of signal strength on ch. 283, 202 & 356.
BUT the setup now shows 103 BOTH RED X.
Enigma ? or should I replace the LNB now.

Is there a way of using SL5swm (single wire unit) or SL5RB and still be able to feed OTA into the house coax at or after a multi-splitter?
