Wow just got word from my boss he received notice that the super dish 105 in the southern indiana area are going to be gone approx 30-50 days...switching to d 500's picking the locals from the new 110 side :) I'm so excited being an installer the d500's are so much easier and better to install, sd's you have to get a really really secure mount to keep in the 105 side for locals....110 is going to be great for locals maybe they will get the ch4 from indy down in the terre haute region of locals because we don't have wb or upn in the locals have to get it distant!! Can't wait....:)

Probably not that soon (FCC hangups and the plan for E-10 was to turn up in May) but it sounds like it is coming.

So I am in Evansville with a Super 105 I guess be no reason to change it out to a Dish 500 would there?

    I also have a smaill 18" dish for 61.5

If the VOOM stay on 61.5 and 129 would I be able to use a DISH 1000 isnt that 110,119,129 if in fact our locals leave 105 for 110.

I would not have to have two dish any more

That would be a solution, although wait until Dish actually moves the locals and gives the all clear on it. But, they are for sure going to charge you for you changing over to a Dish1000. Honestly, there is no need to change your current setup if it is working now.

I've posed the question to ceo@dishnetwork.com, as to if it would be possible to get WTTV4 right now in our locals lineup. Looking at the EKB, it appears as if ch4(WTTV) is on 119....why couldn't they send us WTTV?(this station is designated as 'significantly viewed') Is there any technical reason why it is not currently possible?

SV are not requried to be carried, that is something else to note...

Could be that they are waiting until the Superdishes are no longer required before opening the SV floodgates. That way no one has to be upgraded.

Hmmm, looks like there might soon be a flood of second-hand Superdishes available on eBay.

Maybe from left over stock from dealers, but I doubt very few current subs in SuperDish markets will bother taken down their SuperDish and replacing it or even notice the change unless they are upgrading for HDTV.

If they try to charge customers to change from their SuperDish to the Dish1000 (for those that got locals changed from 105 to 129) to keep their locals then they may get a flood of complaints to the Attorney General offices and lose a LOT of customers to DirecTv. If they are going to do a swapout they will have to do it for free or lose a heck of a lot of subscribers.
