    Have any of the "deep throat" sources indicated what Dish has planned for the new frequencies? The attached FCC document from Sept 2007 indicates that Directv and Dish had differing opinions regarding dual dishes, spacing, etc.

    Generally speaking, more DBS service. More channels.

    "Reverse DBS" (as it is called) allows for more transponders at the higher power level of traditional DBS, instead of the generally lower power levels of Ku FSS (slightly below the DBS band with 2° spacing) and Ka FSS. More power means a smaller dish.
