I had a tough go around this year.I called over a month ago and was told that i qualified for the $20.00 for 6 months. I needed to wait until they started billing for the ticket before I would see the credit. Yesterday it showed up on my bill for $49.99. No credits. So I called and talked with this woman who told me I would not get any credits because I have $10.00 a month for a year going on right now. I wanted to talk to someone else and she assured me no one would be able to do that. I asked to talk to her supervisor and was on hold for over 5 minutes. I hung up and called back and said cancel service at the voice prompt. I got a great guy on the line and he thanked me for all the years of service I've had with them. He did say he couldn't get that discount of 20 for 6 to work. So he offered the 10 for 6. I said that wont work. He said he could give it to me for half price. He charged me $314.93 and then gave me a credit of $157.93 I payed $157.00. I started out just wanting to get it for $180.00 but they have to do weird things to make it work I guess. I really don't understand the things they do there but all is well now. I think I'm going to have to get things in writing whenever I deal with someone from Directv or record it to have proof of earlier transactions.

I always request for confirmation number whenever I get any deal or discount. So if I have to come back, they can provide the information to them.

This is what I am waiting for, if it is offered I will subscribe right away. There is still time for this to be added to the channel lineup.

I had an issue when I added one of my owned HR's a while back, they added it as my primary reciever, and it canceled my ST sub.....before I called to get the discount, I checked channel 112 and I wasn't sub'd.....so I don't have To-Go :D

I thought it said it would on the ST website as well, but I am in the same boat as the others, I had SF last year, did not get enrolled in to-go this year and have the option to add it (but didn't)

Called this afternoon, got the same deal. Not the $179 or less that other folks are getting it for, but I'm happy with it.

If that 240 is the 10/mo HD access fee, then you got a false savings, as that fee is waived for anyone who calls and asks for it, independent of NFL-ST, as long as you authorize auto-pay. If you got the 240 in addition to the 24 month discount for HD-Access fee, then you did ok.:)

I am assuming that he is talking about two separate savings because $240 off the full price of NFLST and To-Go doesn't equal $195.

Just got off the phone with retentions and got the $20 monthly discount for $179 total. I told them politely I was considering canceling ST due to the price but wanted to see what discounts were available before doing so. On my initial call they wouldn't budge off the $10 per month discount though did offer to throw in the "to go" package which I wasn't interested in. I tried to haggle it down to $20 but it wasn't working. I told them I'd think about it and they said they'd notate my account.

I called back immediately with the same exact request, this time around they offered up the $20 per month discount without me having to do any haggling.

After that was wrapped up I then asked about upgrading to HD receivers since I just got an HDTV (true story) and had 3 non-HD receivers. She said they would upgrade all my receivers to HD at no charge (normally $99 per receiver). She even offered the brand new HD24 multi-room DVR at no charge (normally $199). Since I rarely record TV and didn't want to pay the extra $9 per month I passed, but they almost had me.

I didn't qualify for the $10 per month HDTV discount since my D*TV is packaged through Qwest (where I already get a $8 per month discount). Was semi-disappointed in that but am guessing/hoping at some point they'll waive the HD charge all together for everyone.

I've been with them since 2007 and not under contract, at least I wasn't before I made the phone call. Am on board for another 2 years now.

Interesting side note: On my initial call I said "cancel sunday ticket" at the voice prompt which immediately put me through to some department. Not sure if it was retentions or not - that was the one where they only offered $10 per month.

On my second call I only said "cancel". This time around the system asked me to confirm if I wanted to change my programming or cancel my service. I confirmed with "cancel". Since I had better luck the second time I'm guessing I got the retentions department where on the first call I probably just had a regular CSR. Not really sure but thought that info may come in handy for future callers.

I'm almost at the end of my 2 yr commitment and they offered me the free HD DVR as well. Although when I questioned them about the HR24, they said they couldn't promise what model I would get. That's the correct answer, so I didn't go for the free HD DVR.

They can't order you a specific model, so you might have been disappointed when a refurbed HR21 showed up. Glad you got the NFL $20/6mo discount. I had to haggle for mine, but it only took one call.

You could ask them if they are willing to give the credit if you buy a HR24 online to gurantee the reciever and see what they say.

Is Super Fan included in the basic Sun Tkt pkg or is it part of the "to go" add on?

You can try that and I did actually ask about it. He said, we did that in the past, but its rare these days. Which may have meant, I'm not going to bother with that.

Everything except online is included in the NFL ST subscription now.

Good point, she didn't specifically say HR24... I just assumed. You're absolutely right I would have been disappointed if I would have jumped on the deal only to find out it was something far less!

I just tried twice. First all they gave me the talking points of ST. Offered 2go for free to me. I called back and they said u was currently getting max credits and offered me nothing. Read off I'm getting 24x10 for free HD. AND the other $10 off for 12. That one i'm nor even sure what it is. They just gave it to me when I called for free HD offer. Guess I'll hold off till August and try again.

I had something similar to what you experienced happen when I called about free HD. One of the credits they gave me for either NFLST or NHLCI was the HD $10 for 12 mo's credit that goes through August. They said to call back in Sept to request it and noted that on my account. So you may have to wait until one of your current credits runs out. Hopefully it will work out for both of us.

I lucked out out when I called about NFLST, though as my other $10/12 credit ran out in June. So I was able to get the $20 for 6 mo's starting in July.

First time poster-long time lurker. I have 2 credits right now - $10 per month for programming and $10 per month for HD access. I rev'd both of these in March. I know the programming credit is for 1 year, and I think the HD one is, also. I just called this morning and asked if they could help with NFLST. At first he just offered me free To-Go. I said I wasn't really interested in that, so then he offered me a credit of $100. I asked if he could do $150 and he said no because of my other credits, but he could do $120. So I did get the $120 everyone else is getting, but I just got it as a one time credit. I prefer this over $20 for 6 months anyway because I also pay for NFLST in one payment. So, I would call again and ask for a one time lump sum credit.

First, let me say welcome to dbstalk as an official poster. That's a great deal and I would have jumped on that. My problem was a bit different. They couldn't add the free HD credit, because I was already receiving it from last year. So when it runs out next month, hopefully they will give it to me for 24 mo's, starting in Sept.
