I would take the 20x6 deal. Some are getting that as well as free "To Go" but I wasn't interested in that service so it wasn't a consideration for me.

As you've read here, the 20x6 deal is generally considered the best deal out there, not including new (DirecTV) customers.

I know where you're coming from with regards to budgets and ST full pricing. Last year, I called for the 1st time to get a deal due to the economy issue.

I'm not sure how true this statement is. Because I did get confirmation for very near future discount and it was verified after few days with the CSR.

I also thought $300 was a bit much. I called to see if I could get a better deal. I was transferred to the Premium Channels department. The Rep told me that I was already receiving all the discounts available and the best he could do is throw in the "To Go" service for free.
I told him that was not good and enough for me and I would have to cancel.
He immediately said "I will cancel that for you and credit back the $49.99 that was already charged to your account". I was a bit surprised and disappointed. I would have jumped at $180. I have had NFLST for about 5 years and will miss it.

Perhaps this is worth another call to see if you get another answer from a different CSR?

At the voice prompt for "which department or what can we help you with?"...say "Sunday Ticket"...explain you have had NFLST for the past 5 years, but cannot justify the $300 price...then see what offer you get...

Thanks. Do you think I should wait a week or the sooner the better?

Although too late now a good response to their "that's the best I can do" is just say you'll think about it and get back to them. The above is basically what happened to me, after telling them I'd think about it I called back *immediately*, got a different rep and a completely different (and successful) story. Don't play the cancel card unless you have to as you lose some leverage once that's done.

In your case I'd call back, making sure you get the retentions department by saying "cancel" and (politely) say you're not satisfied with the response you received and you only wanted the same discount many others are getting. You could also wait it out another month or so and see what other types of deal they offer. I'm guessing there's a good chance you can get back in at some point. They definitely want your subscription.

No real need to wait...you'll get someone new.
If you say "Cancel Sunday Ticket" as someone else suggested, you'll get another department...either way...you should try at least once again.

If you want retentions be sure and say "cancel" (without adding "sunday ticket"), and then confirm by saying "cancel" again. Adding "sunday ticket" appears to get you the premiums or standard CSR rep rather than retentions. At least that's what happened with me.

I got $20 off for 6 months and free superfan in 2009

My sunday ticket auto renewed for 2010 at $300.

I called 2 days ago asking for the same deal i got in 2009 and the csr gave me a choice between $5 off for 6 months OR free NFLST ToGo. I took the free NFLST ToGo.

I called just now and used the cancel wording and explained how i just couldn't afford it if it was $300. The csr gave me the $20 off for 6 months.

    ship it

    59 x 5 ($300 - the usual price) or $59 *total*? If that's 59 total it's the best deal I've seen yet.

That would be $59 total for Sunday Ticket this year. See post 842 on page 34 I believe. Here is the recap though.

I tried to get the Premiere offer for new customers but they really seemed like they would not budge on that. I spoke with retention and I just kept stating look I pay alot each month have a higher package with UFC PPV's, DNS Feeds, DVR, HD, Sunday Ticket and SuperFan the last 2 years, and I have never had a late payment ever.

The guy tried twice two different to get me to just take free To Go Pack and I said no. He tried selling Sunday ticket was $100 cheaper this year as Superfan was now included in ST. I said well thats only partially true. I said I want the to go pack and so it still makes it at least $350 for me so that is not that much off. I said I see every year where people are getting the $20 off for 6 months and getting the premiere deal as existing customers. I said I dont get why I can not get one of those offers. He then tried to say well you are getting free Showtime and Starz right now. I said yeah but that was because I moved so is that really gonne count against me? Then he said you are getting free HD right now to. I said that is from a year ago and ends next month I believe. So in the end I get a good deal and wont complain. It only took one phone call to. The call took 40 minutes but still one call and done. See attachment to see what is already applied to my account.

After already recieving the deal above I got an email that said I was eligible for Special programming offers. I called in tonight and was offered the $20 off for 6 months on Sunday Ticket. So $120 instant credit and $20 off Sunday Ticket for 6 months, Free To Go Pack and they threw in free Showtime for 2 months tonight as well. I will definately not complain.

I would be ALL over ST for that price (as I am sure most people would), but even at $180 for the year I would have a hard time convincing the wife. That is an awesome deal you got.

I actually just saw a couple posts on slickdeals where a couple people got ST for a one time payment of $99. I think I would even pull the trigger for that amount if I could get that offer. I wonder if as we get closer to the start of the season that this offer will get offered to more people.

Well I called, said "cancel" when asked, I talked to someone. I told them I love NFLST but just really can't afford the full price for it this year. So I asked if they was offering any deals, and I was put on hold. When the person came back, they said they could offer me 6m $10 off. I asked about the 6m $20 offer, and she said ok, and gave me that deal. Saying it should either take affect next month or at the start of the season.

My question now is, there was no mention of NFL To Go, So I'm wondering is that automaticly added with NFLST, and will have to call back to cancel it or not. Btw if NFL To Go is added, does anyone know if it will show on my account on directv? One more thing anyone even know if NFL To Go will work with Tmobile or not?

Just wondering if we will be able to see local games in HD like last year?

My uncle had the regular ticket in SD and could not see the cowboys and the Texans. I on the other hand had Super fan in HD and could watch both regional games every sunday.

I've had the ST and Superfan for the past two seasons. Currently though, it doesn't show on my account.

Did they change the auto-renewal process for this season?

If the local CBS or Fox station broadcasts the game in HD then the Sunday Ticket channel will be blacked out. However, if the local CBS or Fox station broadcasts the game in SD then the Sunday Ticket channel in HD will be available.

Easiest way to check to see if you're on auto-renewal is to tune to channel 112. If it says you are authorized for this program then you are subscribed to Sunday Ticket.
