    Does this poll really matter? find it hard to believe Directv will actually care about what we have to say..they usually never do...oh unless it comes to paying your bill...yeah for that i have their phonecalls & full attention..

    And, yes, I think a well constructed poll and an attempt at serious answers do matter over the long term.

    This poll is much easier to derive statistics from and clearly has much better participation than any of the "anticipation" threads. As of a few minutes before I posted this message, there had been 226 different posters adding their perspective to the Q1 2011 "anticipation" thread. This poll had mined the opinions of around 1,400 individuals.

    I voted, but I really hope they add some cinemax channels to the lineup.... still missing roughly 6 cinemax channels.....

    It's certainly been an interesting Poll. I was hoping to exceed the 337 voters that we had last year, well, we did 4x. Very nice to see the participation. Good data for DirecTV, at least from a DBSTalk perspective.

    Still considering doing an ancillary totally confidential poll to collect some demographics information, Male/Female, Age. Wonder if any other info would be helpful (household income?).
