After subscribing to NFL Sunday Ticket since the beginning...I made the call on the "best deal"...and determined the time had arrived to cancel it.

Since my team is already going to be on national TV for at least 7 of the 18 games this year (none blacked out), and perhaps as many as 9...it simply was not financially a good return at this time to pay for 1/2 season, even with the discounts.

Just called...wow. Simply mentioned the commercial and here's what he did for me:

    Gen Reten CR ($50.00)
    Savefor6MosMA ($5.00)
    $20/6mosBasePkg ($20.00)
    Save$5/6moSPORT ($5.00)
    1/2 offSTZfor6Mos ($6.50)
    HBOfor6MosSave ($5.00)
    Save$5/6moSHOW ($5.00)
    $5/6mValueDisc ($5.00)
    NFL SUNDAY TICKET 2011 $53.99
    NFL SUNDAY TICKET To-Go 2011 $0.00

    $53.99/month for 6 months
    ($51.50)/month for 6 months

So it's NFL Sunday Ticket costs me $2.49/month

And he threw in a $50 credit to cover that.

    Plus To-Go on top

    :eek2:

Just called and basically was offered nothing.....only $10 off my Sunday Ticket. Then I mentioned about others getting $250 off, got nowhere. So then she came back with $18 off and I said no way....so I cancelled the service. Not even close to what I paid last year. Didnt even try to pursuade me to keep it.....and I have been with them over 13yrs.

Just called...retention (promo's) told me there were no specials for Sunday Ticket. He said he could give me the early renewal price. I tolfd him I already had that. I told him I know of others that got a one time credit of $200. He said he couldn't see that on the screen. The only thing I could get was $20 off for 6 months on my regular programming. Better than nothing but not great :(

    No they dont.

There are never only 2 games in the 4:00 window.

Tell me what week last season had only 2 games @ 4:00 ?

Also last year the last 3 weeks of the season had a combined total of only 3 thursday/saturday games.

Remember, the free DVR isn't really free, it has a two year contract. Of course that not not be an issue, but is worth noting.

Just called and got $150 off ST plus free To-Go (another $50 credit). Total ST+ToGo price $175. I received a $120 credit last year, so an additional $80 in credits this year makes me a happy sub. Also got a general $5 credit for 6 months just for inquiring last week. Nice guys, those D* folks!

As an added bonus, I only get To-Go so my brother can watch his Jets games online and he reimburses me the entire $50 cost. I won't be telling him that I got it free this year :D

Yeah, so there were a lot of discounts to be had.

Though the CSR did mention that some people don't have as many discounts available so he's had to give them larger one time credits. :D
