Not "official," but it's pretty much a done deal.

This article was written before the ESPN article, thought it has been updated more recently. (And the ESPN article has had an update without substantial changes.)

It's possible ESPN has better sources or jumped the gun. Guess we'll know tomorrow. :)

    Cheers,
    Tom

Edit: NFLnetwork is reporting that Drew Brees is saying it is almost done and a press conference will be held tomorrow.

ESPN reported the voting may be starting at this very time and continue through tomorrow...they also said "it's virtually a done deal".

So, the big question.......is anyone getting deals on the ticket yet? I don't have a contract (been with DTV about 4 years) and I'd like to either get the new customer deal or a significant portion of the price discounted.

I've yet to see any updates on whether or not Thursday night football is going to be expanded to cover the entire season. Wasn't that a topic of debate with the CBA?

Both sides will like that because it brings in extra revenue without any extra games. I think it's a sure thing.

The NFL Network needs to get their audio mess sorted out before then.

    Love reading this thread.

Congrats to those (especially longtime subscribers to NFL Sunday Ticket) who have received really good deals on reductions.

I just made my first call (5-year subscriber to NFLST) to inquire about available discounts and CSR came back with absolutely nothing. I should have made my call last year when I initially thought about it, but will try again tomorrow.
