What makes you so sure everyone will get a credit this year. Last year I got a $200 credit. I wouldnt be so quick to count on any deals.

Wow, could you imagine being a star college football player that went pro early and can't even get drafted this year.
Hey I want to go back to Auburn for 1 more year etc. Lot of nervous almost rich kids.

The NFL Draft will happen in late April regardless if there is a lockout or not. Teams can trade draft picks but not players.

Assuming of course that they did not plan ahead for just such a scenario. I'd bet my money on them planning ahead though.

No regular season NFL games will be lost due to labor trouble, so there is no need to worry about the Sunday Ticket.

FWIW one of the players was on the news last night saying he expects labor negotiations to go through the beginning of the season.

He is probably looking at the 9 billion dollars that would be lost to everyone involved if there were no season. Who is going to walk away from that? Both sides are bluffing. They will push it up to the last minute if possible but i agree with Vadar, it will get done.

I was around for the 1982 NFL lockout [link], when they only played 9 games. If either side can't get something they can live with, I think it could happen again.

    It won't.

That was 1982; this is 2011.

No regular season games will be lost.

I'm sure D* has contingencies in place for this.... they think long term, doubt they'd drop the ball on something as important to their success as the NFL.

And Czaban does morning sports shows here for a local radio station......he is a HUGE DirecTV fan and Sunday Ticket subscriber.

I remember In those dark days of the Packers, we were actually excited when the replacement players came in because the regular team stunk so bad. We made the playoffs that year in otherwise a long drought!

There won't be any lost games this year. And when players realize their health insurance is getting cutoff due to a lockout along with potential income losses that usually fund their Escalades and other fancy possessions, agreements are gonna happen quickly.

Just my opinion. So glad we won the Super Bowl or this would really be painful if we lost it going thru this other stress!

Good times! But I think replacement players were in 1987. The Pack did it all on their own in 82.

Apparently there wasn't any sort of mental aptitude test when he applied for that job. His comments about Sunday Ticket were ridiculous.

Is this as sound of a prediction as the one you made for the Superbowl?

    Yes, even my grandkids could...

But you see, that was a quoted post. Which has a valid link. To a post you made... and have since deleted. (And do I see you might be deleting other posts?) :)

Faith--I find the abuse of it disturbing... :)

    Cheers,
    Tom
