With Full Court and Game Plan being close to their death (potentially), there is plenty of channel space in the 700s. NBA/NHL and MLB regular seasons overlap so little that this shouldn't really be an issue.

There's really no need to have separate channels for these anyway. No reason MLBEI can't use channels 721-1, 721-2, and so on. If the Cubs feed is always on 721-12 then you can put that in your favorites. 721 without a - can be the MLB Mix.

Lying about a disability, like you suggested, isn't a little white lie.

So it looks like the Pirates and Giants have been bumped from their broadcasts tonight. Just a heads up

I have always felt for all the big pro sports they should reserve a channel specifically for that team only. Then you'll always know what channel to look for...

It's not so much a lie as ordinary business practice with phone and TV providers. The only people with access to serious discounts are retention.

This is the second day in a row that I was recording the Mets off the EI channel and the recording was stopped at the 2:49 mark. After I noticed this, both the Mets and Braves feeds were gone from the guide. However, when I turned to 735, the Mets SNY feed is still on. Did anyone recording either feed today or yesterday experience this?

or just have games with a -1 for an 2th feed.

also use the range for added feeds and if there is no room just don't put RSN feeds that are in place there but let people just tune to them in the 600's.

My zip code is 53573 and I am blacked out of the Cubs and White Sox on EI and I have had it with these blackouts. I'm in SW Wisconsin and only have satellite internet so I can't stream MLB.TV which I have said earlier in this thread in the same zip code doesn't black them out. MLB can't even get the blackouts correct. I'm 5 hours from Chicago

Not if you want to provide the same service to SD customers. They still exist.

Anyway, this is a first world problem. Only directv comes close to every feed. Cable EI customers don't even get every game and often the games are in SD only. I laugh at the complaints here about one or two team feeds not on.

I agree completely. Never in my wildest dreams would I have expected to have so much access to MLB games at such a reasonable price. My only nitpick is not having slightly easier access to the To Do List, because I have to adjust which feeds actually get recorded even for "my teams." Definitely a first world issue to me, which means not really a problem at all. MLBEI on DirecTV is the main reason I say with DirectTV.

So 722-x can be all the SD channels. They maintain separate HD/SD channels for PPV events like MMA, no reason they can't do the same for MLBEI, at least until they begin dropping MPEG2 SD - maybe dropping it for the RSNs that are being remapped to form MLBEI and other league packages aside from NFLST would be a good first step towards that goal.

SD boxed can't do sub channels.

My D12, R16 and my old Phillips DSX5500 handle the subchannels that are used for the sports alternates just fine. It's the now retired MPG boxes that couldn't handle them.

But like posted above, channel numbers are virtual, when more games are needed they have converted other channels for a night. Like on really busy NBA nights they dip into the MLB and/or NHL range, on busy NHL nights they have dipped into the NBA and NCAA football range.

Is it me or the system. I'm getting a lot of grey screens when games are over. No DirecTV logo like before where you could tell the feed was off air.

I say this because sometimes I don't know the game is over, and tune in late (2.5 -3 hrs) into the game hoping to see the ninth, but all i see is grey screen, so I wait thinking the channel is taking a while to load.

Funny you mention this. The last couple nights I've noticed this. However, after about 30 or 40 seconds, the DirecTV logo - and the music - does appear. Thought it was weird too.

Anyone having issues getting MLB.tv on any Amazon Firetv products? Signed in, but wouldn't let me watch because it's saying it's Premium.

yes ...I have been having same issues since 1st day of season but no one at MLB.TV is smart enough to understand issue let alone fix it ... you CAN see one feed from each game ...its usually the away feed ...you only get the non-premium message on the home feed. (except for the FREE game each day which you can watch either feed) .. it thinks we have MLB.TV basic package instead of premium package ...we get Premium package with Extra Innings and it works on mobile/computer/tablets/roku/WDTV live you name it just not on FireTV which is a real shame as the FireTV is the best quality I have seen on any device.

I have tried both companies (amazon was great they sent a "special vendor message" to MLB.TV for me but no help...please try tech support at MLB.TV and even send them this forum post so hopefully we get somebody there some day to pick up the phone that has a brain. good luck, but know that you can still eatch every game not blacked out via the fire TV you just have to select the away feed.
