This weekend the golf and tennis tournaments are overlapping, taking up 12 of the part time feeds that would usually be used for things like bonus feeds for Extra Innings (the extra mix channel for Golf is actually taking up 2 of those feeds, while the French Open Mix just uses the SportsMix), along with ESPN Bases Loaded which takes up another part time feed. It also doesn't help that a lot of the Blue Jays games have been pushed to SportsNet One since the main SportsNet channels share the Canadian NBA playoff rights, in addition to playoff NHL games. DirecTV usually only uses SportsNet One's feeds when it's the only option available. Previously TSN would help pick up the slack for the NBA with their 5 channels, but since the Raptors are in the playoffs, they're producing the Raptors games locally and simulcasting them on the 4 regional TSN channels, SportsNet had to pick up more of the other NBA playoff games. Because of the way CRTC licensing works, only your local regional TSN and SportsNet channel can be offered in the main package, along with SportsNet 360 since it's using the license for The Score, everything else must be in a higher digital only tier, so major events carried by TSN or SportsNet get simulcasted on all their regional feeds.
