Nope not a scam got it also here. I originally posted I got a major credit for signing on for one more year (21 year DTV customer) $50 for 12 months plus some misc credits and a genie mini upgrade. For doing all that I purchased regular Sunday Ticket a week ago for the regular price, but with the above credits to help offset. Called DTV about the letter an hour ago, they said call they'd switch me to AT&T. Was on hold with them for 20+ minutes hung up and called DTV back and asked for retention. Nice woman there "hadn't even seen that promotion yet", put me on hold for 5 minutes came back and bumped me up to ST MAX for the $99.96 and wiped off the original ST charge. I just checked my recent activity and it appears that way.

(Should edit and add I got the letter as a long time AT&T wireless customer and it's part of their AT&T Thanks program).

Called this morning to the regular number. Asked about contract status. I'm out of contract, with D since '98. Got the $50 off x12 and free ST. 1 year commitment. More tha offsets my upcoming CI renewal. Thanks D!

I had been playing CSR roulette for the past 2 weeks with the best offer being $5 off for 12 months. Passed on that offer and continued to check in every few days to see if there was anything better. I had recently switched from Verizon wireless to AT&T wireless to take advantage of the their unlimited talk, text, data if you have DirecTV. When I switched over I asked AT&T if they had any programming deals and they said no. I mentioned that to my DirecTV CSR today and she advised me that I should have been offered a free 2yr subscription to any 1 sport package (can't do 1yr of ST and 1yr of MLB; has to be the same sport). She was able to add it to my account so I'm good for the next 2 years. Good luck to anyone still searching.

Called about a month ago and was offered $9/month off Sunday Ticket, so I resigned myself to getting Sling TV w/RedZone.
Called again today just to check - got offered $45/month off for 12 months, $33/month for 6 months and Sunday Ticket Max for free. Had to agree to a 12-month commitment, but I'm good with that.

    I'm happy. Good luck !

Do you know if you were talking with a regular rep or a retention one?

Retention. I did the "Cancel my service" thing at the prompt.

Made the 3rd call today. It was the charm.

$50 x 12 the CSR said was a given... He put me on hold for a few minutes and came back with NFL ST max for 4 x $24.99. I was happy with that. I asked about regular ST and he said that they could offer that for free. I accepted as regular ST is all I need. I would have had no problem with the $100 if the regular ST offer would not have been there.

    GL all.

I received the email yesterday. The last line says "This offer is just the beginning. Expect more entertainment, service and experience offers to come your way because we just can't thank you enough." Any idea as to what the entertainment, service and experience offers will be? Anyway, will call in a week or so to see what they can do.

Just called DTV today after renewing my contract for a year earlier this week . I got $50 off a month for a year and ST for $249 . I saw the post about ATT and called in today and got ST max and sport pk for $99 , took a while the rep had no clue and had to search for about 15 mins but it paid off . I was happy to get the $99 deal and took it!! So the email is not a scam , I guess I could have got it free but I am happy with $50 off , Sport pak and $99 ST max !!

Just got off the phone with D* and no luck with the offer. His first rebuttal was that the offer was only for at&t customers, told him I knew some people were getting it without that. Then he said he couldn't offer it because I already have $50/mo credit for a year, and told him some who received the offer also had that. Didn't matter, all he would offer was movie channels free for three months. He did offer free MAX if I took ST at regular price, told him I wasn't interested in MAX. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

I am also an at&t wireless customer, but the accounts aren't linked. I got an email last Friday about the free preview on Sunday, and that is it. I did get one today about Extra Innings at 6 payments of $28.99, which is something they should have sent out in April. When I log in to my account and go to the screen where I can add it, both Sunday Ticket and Sunday Ticket Max are listed at the same price, $44.99 for 6 months or $269.94 for a 1 time payment, never seen the 1 payment being cheaper than the installment plan. Seems like something on their end is screwed up.

So I had I had my cancellation set up for Friday, and got the email to call the 855 number to try and keep me. Called the number and they offered free ST Max if I upgraded to the Choice package (I've been happy with Select), and committed for twelve months. They also offered $35/mo off the package and another $10/mo off if I maintained autopay. I initially refused because I am currently getting $40/mo off the Select pack, so being forced to upgrade to Choice meant I was still paying ~$20/mo more for the next 12 months to get ST Max (and all the Choice channel upgrades I'm indifferent towards). After telling the CSR I wasn't interested, she then offered a $200 visa gift card to offset the additional cost of 12 months of Choice. I'm happy enough with that, so in the end, I'm getting ST Max this season for free, and the Choice package upgrade for about $5/mo more than I was paying.

FYI- I am not an AT&T wireless or internet customer, yet I was able to get the STMax for free, even after the first month charge last month on the package.

Called today, referenced the email offer. I got a few questions about it.

    "Who was it from?"
"What price was offered in the email?"
"Was this a one-time payment offer?"

After answering all of those and being transferred around a few times -- never ending up with the "NFL" people they kept saying I was being transferred to -- a CSR finally checked to see if he could give me the offer without a transfer. Spent several minutes on hold and he came back.

Offered the ST Max for 4 x 24.99, but because "I was a very important customer to him", he also offered a 12 month, $25/mo credit, so it's basically free ST MAX, plus $200 off over the following 8 months.

    I accepted, I'm happy.

These Sunday Ticket offers with credits off your bill come with a price. Before I accepted mine I asked the CSR if the deal comes with a contract and was told yes. I accepted anyway because I have been with DIRECTV for nearly 21 years and have no plans to leave. Today I received a e-mail from DIRECTV confirming what the CSR told me......"Thank you for your continued relationship with DIRECTV. We are delighted that you have accepted our offer to receive a $50.00 credit for 12 consecutive months. This offer requires you to maintain 12 consecutive months of any DIRECTV base programing package (priced at $29.99/mo or above), or any international service bundle......Please note that should you decide to cancel your agreement early you will be responsible for a prorated Early Cancellation Fee of up to $300.00". Just a heads up for those who bought in without asking about a contract.

.....but not for all subs. My original deal was full STMax price and a bunch of programming credits, the most being the $25off for 12 months. It did not trigger another commitment of any sort. But been with DTV since '98 and not going anywhere else.

Anyone get their $200 Visa card yet? Curious how long it takes from when you make the call to when it arrives. I'm guessing 4 to 6 weeks?
