2016 Sunday Ticket Pricing

    I've been a DIRECTV customer since 1995. Great company but in all that time their CSRs have never been on the same sheet of music.

    I was just able to get STMax for $99.96 by using chat and explaining I received a letter for that offer on the 21st and it expires on the 30th.

    I guess I'm doing something wrong. I tried chat again for a Sunday Ticket deal and the only thing they would offer is half off of max. What prompt are you using to get to someone that can make a deal? I mean the pull down menu that asks why you're chatting. I've been a customer since 2003 and have got a deal (free or very cheap) every year but one. I guess this might be the one year I don't get one. Any help with some steps on how y'all did it would be very appreciated.

    If you're out of contract tell them you are going to move to Dish or Fios. They'll throw some nice deals at you

    I also got the same exact offer letter a week ago. This is a AT&T Wireless (me) loyalty Thank you Offer I called 9/29. Same results no CSR's could offer it, said can only get that deal if did not get ST/Max free last year. (I had free ST last year). But there is no fine print or conditions like that at all, specified on the letter. The offer is the offer, with no conditions - period!, and asked to call the 800-531-5000 # Seems a bit like a "bait and switch". Or seems the "left and right hand not integrated" - still with ATT v DTV not operating integrated marketing/operating systems. Even escalated to supervisor, asked him to override, said No he could only go on what was in system.

    They also tried to justify no more discounts as I was already getting $50 off a mo/12, $12 off/6 Starz/Sports for earlier calls about the price of reg programming being too high.

    Next day 9/30, last day of offer, Tried one more time, with escalation to supervisor. Told her I had a legit letter offer, with no pre-conditions or conditions..I asked this supervisor to override the system, based on the letter. She did. So finally got that $99.96 Max offer. A lot of work....!!!

    The final solution might be that one can cancel DTV period, and set a cancel date say 2 weeks. Then wait for the email asking what DTV did wrong. In many cases they will give you what you want then - whether free ST/Max, free HBO, Sho, Starz for 3 moths. $12 or $17 discts for 6mths, if you don't get those movie channels free for 3 mos. Or $200 gift cards to match Dish, TW Cable move incentives. Even if you need to pay a ETF, can say that other providers are offerring $200 gift cards to offset that cost.

    One needs to decide what one's bottom line is based on research and what other providers are offerring. Then act on it, and decide...

    That 0.0 line item simply means it's going to start billing you next billing cycle, the agent's that are seeing that and telling customers that it's Free, need some serious retraining.

    I still haven't received my $200 Visa card for renewing with DTV (where I got NFLST Max for free) after 6 weeks.
    I called CS yesterday and they said it will be another 4 weeks until it ships.
    I have a hunch if I didn't call and ask, it would have slipped through the cracks.
    After that call on Sept 4, it clearly said in my account that there was a gift card reward. From what I've seen from others here, they got it within a month.
    Not nice ATT.

    Ive also been trying to get my reward card and I keep getting the run-around by customer service.. I wonder if this is a scam
