Success too. I'm getting the video of the game here.
Likely since I live in Massachusetts.
Just called DirecTV to see if they had any offers on NHL Center Ice with the Sabres' season on the horizon. They offered me 4 payments of $38.49 with $15/month off my bill for 12 months. I accepted of course since that more than covers the cost of NHL CI.
I was able to authorize NHL TV with my DirecTV credentials.
Working great for me in Ohio. I was able to watch the game less than 30 seconds after clicking the order button on directv.com.
Thanks, by the way, to c_perrone and loveshockey for the messages. I’ve been waiting to order CI until NHL.TV was active. D* now has my money.
Just linked my accounts successfully. Had to do it 3 times though before it worked. Process is always buggy. 5 days to go!!!
I linked my account as well last night and it started working pretty much right away.
Also, there are some discounts available on NHL CI. I got $36 off my subscription which is certainly better than nothing.
Ok. I linked my computer, but how do I link and watch shows on my Android tablet?
You should be able to open the NHL app and log in using your D* credentials. You might have to enter your NHL log in again as well.
didnt say my account would link but I was able to watch all games .... so if I need to I will relink later
Been getting all broadcasted preseason games here. Didn't have to do anything to activate NHL-TV. Using my new Roku Ultra and watching Edmonton/Vancouver now, upconverted to 4K. Looks great.
I have the NHL CI 700 channels live on my TV. None has any indication what games are one yet, and the on line schedule as far as I can tell is still from last year. When is the current information going to show up? ??????? The season starts in less than 48 hours!!!!
If I remember correctly, last year the CI channels began to be populated about 24 hours before the opening games.
Wednesday, we should get the 2 Canadian games:
Leafs - Jets @ 7:00 EDT
Flames - Oilers @ 10:00 EDT.
Both are national telecasts on SportsNet, so only expect one feed for each game.
In the past we have only seen the schedule show up close to opening day.
Yes, I know it happens every year. What I want to know is what is so hard about populating the grid and online guide a few more days in advance? They do it during the regular season. It's not like it's a surprise which games are on. The schedule's only been out for 4 months. I hate that NHL CI always seems to be behind other sports in D*'s thinking.
CI has been lacking in quite a few ways, compared to other sports packages. For years people have been asking for a decent NHL Mix page, which has fallen on deaf ears. They just don't seem to want to put much into it. I know it is not as popular as some other sports packages, but if it was enhanced it might get more subscribers.
Simply put, not enough demand. I bet half the CSRs don't even know the package exists.
While CI doesn't offer a Mix channel, DIRECTV has provided NHL.TV to their CI subscribers free since last year. And with NHL.TV, you can watch up to four games at a time.
Compared to the other sports packages, NHLCI is the red headed step child.
Compared to the other sports, Hockey is the red-headed step child.
