    Does anyone know if the PS3 supports the multi game view feature? I couldn't figure out how to do it last night. I'm guessing it doesn't?

    I am hoping someone can help me with this. I have had NHLCI for 20 years. NHL Network is not part of my "package" which I think is "Total Choice." Every year when NHL CI has become active, I have been able to watch/record NHL Network. It comes in at the beginning of the season and goes off when NHL CI ends. Three times in the past 4 years, though, it has required me to call D* to be able to watch it normally. The same thing happens every time. NHL Network remains "grayed out" in the guide, but if I tune to it, I can watch it, and if I set up a recording for a future program, it will record. The problem is, if I hit record while watching a program, it won't start recording it. Now, this is not a very significant issue, but if there's something on currently I want to record, I have no way to record it.

    The previous two times this happened it took a while to get to a supervisor who was able to "add that channel to your package." I don't know how they did it. This year, though, no one seems to know how to fix it. I spent two hours on the phone two days ago and another two hours on the phone today finally speaking to a supervisor who said he had worked for D* for 4 years and "I can help you with anything." He couldn't. Multiple receiver resets, equipment refreshes, and even his supposedly resending every receiver authorization for that channel it is still grayed out in the guide and I still can't hit record without getting the error "Your receiver is not authorized to record this programming." If I set up a future recording, it gives an error message "this channel is not in your package, and the program may not record. Record anyway?" So for the programs have recorded.

    I know it's not a major issue, but it's a pain in the ass, and for some reason no one seems to know how to fix it at D*. And I'm waiting for the time when the future recordings will no longer work. The latest supervisor told me he would send it "the broadcast center" for resolution.

    If anyone has been in this situation and has any idea how they or someone at D* fixed it, please let me know.

    Thanks for the link but I don't see anything that mentions how to turn on multi game viewing. Maybe they don't offer it anymore?

    Sounds like they were adding it ala-carte to your account as a perk. Now the buffoons over there don't know how or why. I would call retentions. They seem to be the only department with an IQ over 50 capable of any kind of critical thinking.

    NHL network was in the past free with NHL CI (if it was not in the base package)

    They moved it to choice ultimate (still in xtra classic) and then back to xtra ( on commercial packages I don't think it moved)

    When it is playoff time they opened it up to lower packs (they did not use the NBCSN / VS reverse mirror feeds in the past)

    I think your right. I used to get multi screen on my XBox, but don't see it anymore. As a matter of fact the app has completely stopped working on my Sony Smart TV.

    Well that's lame if it's not offered anymore. ESPN just added it this past year and it's great. Hopefully they'll add it back.

    Speaking of NHLN, anyone know if they have an app in the works which will allow you to steam their games on portable devices as long as you have a cable or satellite subscription? I'm surprised they haven't done that yet.

    I'm not. Even with the MLBAM take over, their productions are almost on par with public access broadcasts. Just an awful channel with terrible studio talent. If you watch MLB Network regularly, you'd see the difference.

    I very rarely watch the NHL Network anymore. Only time I do is when they use programs from Sportsnet or TSN in Canada, or they're carrying a game I want to watch and which, as a result is blacked out elsewhere. I had hopes that when MLB productions took over things would get better, but I can't say as I've noticed much improvement. In fact it's gotten worse since their talent pool seems to have shrunk. I suppose that some may think Barry Melrose's addition this year helsp but anyone who is still wearing a mullet hair do, doesn't belong on TV.

    My number one irritant is their ghastly ticker which takes up a huge amount of screen space. It's ugly and distracting.

    Just brutal in every way. It's true.. all the other networks have sucked up the Hockey talent. The other leagues don't have this issue because they don't have to share the pool with Canada and their national networks.

    I confirmed with NHL.TV tech support that the multi view option is only available on computers, none of the streaming devices support it. They said they would pass it along to the software support guys. If the ESPN app can do it I don't see why the NHL app couldn't do it as well. But then again, this is the NHL we're talking about. ;)

    still no fire tv app? I figured when MLBAM took over the app would naturally get picked up by Amazon...weird

    No app on Sony or Android TV's. Had one in an older Sony TV but it doesn't work any more.

    Is it the case that the other networks sucked up the talent or is it that when the NHL Network changed hands, they made bad talent choices and weren't prepared to pay for good people? Many, but not all, of their on air people are just not watchable. They're loud, in your face and not all that insightful.

    i tried again last night to activate NHL.tv with my center ice subscription and still get -- 0033: The customer is not authorized for the content. the NHL.tv support team just emails me the instructions over and over again on how to activate??

    I want to record tonight’s Jets @ Canucks game on 771-1 but it’s not showing up as HD. Has to be an error, right? They wouldn’t carry the same feed on two channels in SD, would they?
