I have been trying to link accounts daily. When I tried today I got a message stating "this account is already activated." Watching White Sox-Dodgers now.

Has anyone been able to get a decent discount this year? When I called last week, they said there were no discounts available.

I have had Directv for something like 22 years, and have received discounts before. Last year they matched the MLB price of around $110. I have called twice this year, first time at the start of March, and second time last last week, and they said no discounts were being offered.

First year I never got a discount for MLB extra innings. They did give me a $7.00 credit for 6 months off my Showtime/Movie channel, after saying no deals for baseball.

    The free preview is 4/2 - 4/9

I didn't check today first hand to see if it was on today though.

The first two games yesterday were available via EI. Both teams' feeds for Yankees-Rays and Giants-Diamondbacks.

I now have the MLB Mix channel available. I usually get a screen message about any freeview being offered....I did not get one yet for this.

    Thanks!

And we are officially into the fifth season of DirecTV's pointless, idiotic blackout of the Pirates on Root Sports Pittsburgh in central Ohio. Only way to see Pirates-Red Sox is via the Mix channel.
Pretty sure there's nowhere else in the country where DirecTV willingly blacks out games within that team's claimed territory on a channel it carries full-time. Considering this has been happening since 2013, I'm used to it by now. What would be nice is if someone, anyone from either DirecTV or Root (wait, one owns the other) would shed some light on this ridiculousness.

Looks like Directv did not buy in-market streaming rights for Mets games on SNY. In fact not only can I not stream the game via the NBC sports App, I can't even stream it in my home through the Directv iPad app.

There's actually a bunch of teams where this happens, it's mostly a pricing issue where the RSN or team wants a lot of money for extreme outer ring areas and is unwilling to accept the compromise of sports pack for those areas like many other teams have done.

It's not just the MLB either, there's also similar situations for the NHL and NBA too where the teams are also not available with the out of market package. Portions of New Mexico can't get the Coyotes, Diamondbacks, Rockies or the Rangers, portions of California can't get the Warriors or Sacramento Kings, portions of Alabama can't get the New Orleans Pelicans, portions of Indiana can't get the Bulls, portions of Pennsylvania can't get the Capitals, Sabres or Knicks, portions of Maryland and Delaware can't get the Wizards, portions of Ohio can't get the Red Wings, portions of Kentucky can't get the Predators, portions of Connecticut can't get the Knicks, Islanders, Devils or Rangers

A LOT of providers aren't on the list, including Comcast and Charter/Time Warner Cable, the two providers who own the channel. The biggest local providers on board are Optimum and RCN and the rest are mostly co-op members like Atlantic Broadband, Service Electric and Blue Ridge

All of that is good to know. I haven't seen the complaints for those teams/areas, but I am glad we're not the only region that has to deal with this.
Doesn't lessen the ridiculousness of the entire deal, and I still would appreciate one of those companies at least acknowledging the issue or trying to fix it. In our case, the Pirates long ago should have dropped central Ohio as part of their territory [I am a Cubs fan and just want to A) watch a division rival and B) get every game I'm entitled to see as a baseball fan and EI subscriber]. That DirecTV owns Root makes it all the dumber.

I am completely blacked out from the Cubs @ Cardinals game on all channels that are supposed to be available. Channel 729 and 730 both not available.

Did you check the MLB network? Most of the country is getting the game on that, while the Extra Innings channels are for those getting the other MLB Network game on the alternate channel.

MLB Network does many of their games regionally, so parts of the country gets one game, other parts of the country get the game on the alternate channel. It's not like other channels where the alternate game is only for the home markets of the team playing on the main channel. Unfortunately they don't publish maps on their site so you don't even know which game you're going to get until it airs:
Regular Season Baseball - MLB Network

I knew someone was going to ask me to check MLB Network. It is also not available for me on Channel 213. The Indians @ Rangers game is available on the MLB Network Alternate Channel. But No Cubs @ Cardinals on any MLB Extra Innings Channels 729 or 730. I am blacked out in Error All The Way Around. I called DIRECTV and spoke to a representative more than an hour ago and she said she would escalate my situation to the programming department. Still no game and I am never blacked out from Cubs or Cardinals here. NEVER EVER.

Here is another bit of information about this Cubs @ Cardinals game. On my iPhone 7 through the MLB At Bat App I go to watch the game through it and it tells me "Play Ball" that I am in an area that can see the game. When it tries to go to it on both networks all I am getting is a black screen. No other games are doing this.
