Rob: Where are you? I watched the Cubs feed on 665-1 in Columbus, Ohio in the clear (our market also got the game on MLBN). I am assuming the channels in the EI tier also were in the clear, but I usually watch the games on the RSN channels.

I am in Northeast Mississippi zip code 38834. Could not see the Cardinal Feed from FOX Sports Midwest Channel 671 or Cubs Feed Channel 665-1. Could not get the MLB Network Feed on Channel 213 either. I was completely shut out from seeing last nights game from any feed. Could not see it and that is not right and I called DIRECTV waited almost 45 minutes before I could even speak to anyone. The person I Finally got to talk to said there was nothing DIRECTV could do that MLB controls ALL Blackouts. I believe that They cannot just Black you out from both feeds. By the way my Zip Code shows that I am in Braves and Reds broadcast territory.

i got $10 off for 12 months or $120. if i signed up for auto pay (pick the date on your credit card on file) they would give me an extra $5 off for 12 months or $60. $120 + $60 = 180 total discounts. MLB Extra Innings cost basically $173, so i got it for free again this year.

oh, they also threw in HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and Sportspack for free with auto drop off for six months. i win.

    Go Giants!

Cubs @ Cardinals makeup game from yesterday Blacked Out Again on ALL 3 Networks. 213 MLB Network BLACKED OUT. 744 (Cubs Broadcast) BLACKED OUT. 745 (Cardinals Broadcast) BLACKED OUT. I am Blacked Out ALL THE WAY AROUND. Game Search tells me the game is not available on ANY Channels. I am Zip Code 38834 and I am paying for MLB Extra Innings and Cannot see this game ANYWHERE. Need Help. I Feel Like DIRECTV OR MLB HAS GOOFED UP NOT LETTING MY AREA SEE THIS GAME. The game is NOT on any local channels either. Any insight Please?

That has to be a goof on DirecTV's part. I know the Cardinals claim land all the way down to Memphis but I am as not as confident that any of their territory extends across into Mississippi (obviously you cannot be in Cubs territory). We on this board know exponentially more about blackouts than the CSRs who should know more than we do.
I am curious as to whether tomorrow night's Reds-Cardinals game will be blacked out for you on FSMW. Sounds like you should be able to see it via the Reds feed.

Just checked My MLB At Bat App. I can get BOTH the Cubs feed and Cardinals Feed on the App on my iPhone 7. But can't get the game on ANY DIRECTV Channel on my MLB Extra Innings Package that I just paid $190 for. This is Absolutely Absurd. What can I do? DIRECTV is no help when I call. All they say is they don't control games being Blacked Out.

Schmave1 I am in Reds and Braves Broadcast Territory. Memphis gets the Cardinals but I am 80 miles from Memphis. Like I said I am not getting this game on any feed.

That is correct. I am in Braves and Reds Broadcast Territory. The Cubs and Cardinals are not my territory. My area should not be Blacked Out from a Cub or Cardinal Broadcast. They are considered Out of my Market Correct?

Someone at DIRECTV has my area blacked out of games and teams that I should be able to see. I've missed 2 games to start this season.

This might be a stupid question, but does your 38834 zip code match what is configured on your DIRECTV receivers?

It really doesn't matter what your receiver says it's zip code is actually. It's all based on what's in their systems back at their servers. I've had mine say 00000 for my zip code on a box...

    Seems like a glitch really.

Well The Cardinals are Playing The Reds tonight so since I am in Reds Broadcast Territory I should be able to see it. If it gets Blacked Out Tonight We will know something is wrong. The Cubs play in Milwaukee tonight. I better be abe to see that game.

Reds at Cardinals. Reds Feed is available Channel 661-1 as it should be because I am in Reds Broadcast Territory. Cardinals Feed Channel 671 Blacked Out as it always has been when the Cardinals play the Reds.

That's good to see anyway. Hopefully whatever happened during that Cubs-Cardinals series won't happen again. Can you see the Cubs-Brewers game in the clear?

DirecTV isn't the only one with this problem this year. I think a big part of it is the crazy circle of feeds Fox Sports Net affiliates use. In my area we have Fox Sports South, and Fox Sports Southeast. But they run multiple feeds of both channels. I get most of my sports with my TiVo and Cable Card, so I cut back to the Preferred Xtra package recently and lost the RSN's on DirecTV.

I regretted that today when I wanted to watch the Braves. The "Fox Sports Carolina" feed of Fox Sports South the Cable companies use was carrying the Charlotte Hornets, Fox Sports Southeast was carrying the Carolina Hurricanes hockey game. There is a "Regional overflow" channel I had never seen used, but I tuned it in just for the fun of it. It WAS running today but it was showing Atlanta professional soccer. It didn't switch to the Braves game until the soccer game ended. The Fox Sports Southeast "primary" feed on their app was carrying the Braves though, so I could watch it there.

Even stranger is twice this week on the Fox Sports Carolinas feed we've gotten Cincinnati Reds games. Parts of NC are listed as Reds territory, but the region where I live is not. I think the feeds have gotten changed over somehow when they started merging Time Warner & Charter territories. I'm not complaining though, now we get twice as many games!
