2017 Sunday Ticket Pricing

    Got the 4 x 24.99 Max deal.
    Also the $20 x 12 months credit plus $10 for loyalty for 12 months and Starz for 6.99 for 12 months.
    Been with DTV since 1998.

    Does 'When does my Contact end' still work at prompt to get to Retention? Last year I signed a 1 year contact that ends today I believe, so I was going to call tomorrow.

    So, last night I did a chat. I was finally able to get the 4 payments of $24.99 for ST Max. However, the CSU rep misunderstood or reneged on the agreed-to additional discounts. When I pointed out that he had agreed to $20 off for 12 months and $10 off for HBO and Cinemax, he claimed he had not seen that the first time when I asked for it and he agreed. He said he could not give me the $20/month discount.
    Should I escalate this to someone since he clearly agreed (and I printed the chat) or just try back later?

    A few follow-ups: 1) Did you somehow get the same CSR that you spoke to in your previous conversation? 2) Did you decline the offer that from your last call, or did they tell you that you could claim it later in addition to more discounts?

    Any agreed to discounts through the Chat program include an agreement that they provide during the Chat for you to review, and you'll get an email follow-up. Those changes are usually made within minutes to your account in Recent Activity. My best advice, should you attempt to negotiate through Chat again, to keep the window open until you feel comfortable seeing those changes in your account.

    I first had a chat on Sunday then a call on Monday all with different reps. I had rejected all offers until last night. The problem occurred when I asked the rep to summarize our deal. When I pointed out it was different than we had earlier agreed to he just apologized and said he hadn't seen the additional discount I asked for

    Did my yearly August call to DTV on Tuesday. I've been with DTV since 2004, and have been lucky enough to get it for free every year! This year the call took 37 minutes. I asked for loyalty at startup.. Told them the only reason I have DTV is because of the ST. I could easily go to Dish and save myself $120 a month for the next 2 years. Guy offered my $45 off my bill for the next 12 months. I said I'd think about it.. He said that's all I can offer you according to my screen. I said is there someone there that could offer more? So after being on hold for 10 minutes. I got ST Max free! It is getting harder since AT&T has gotten involved though. I did have to re-up for 12 months. Was't under contract. But contract will end in August next year. Right in time for my 2018 call

    I did a chat earlier, was only offered the $17 off ST Max. Declined. Called Customer loyalty, was offered the same, declined, but got a $10 off 12 months cust loyalty, and a $5 off for HBO and Sports(Just cancelled Showtime), and had ST Max auto renewal removed.
    Tonight I did a chat, and after a long wait, they came back with a Free Sunday Ticket Loyalty offer with one year agreement this year, I agreed. It's been 3 hours, and I don't see that anywhere on my account. I printed out the chat. Hope they keep to it.

    I apologize if this has already been mentioned but has anyone had any luck with just adding RedZone this year? I know they shot it down last year and it wouldn't surprise me that the same would be true this year.

    Decided to try Chat again tonight.

    Since my contract is expiring this month, I asked about incentives to sign another 12 month agreement.
    I asked for the same $50 X12 credit on my Premier package and STMax for 4 X $24.99 I received last year.

    Here was the agent's reply:

    I understand that and I appreciate your interest in current programming package, I would like to let you know that as we from DIRECTV billing department we don't have access to apply promotion discount on your account we have retention specialist team who have the access and they also have the access to customers contract information and they might help you with a great deal without changing your programming package and I can help you with the direct contact number of our specialist team.

    You can reach our specialist team on 800-824-9081 between 8:00 AM and 1:00 AM ET daily. When the system asks for a Personal ID Number please punch pin as 2044, It will directly get you connected with our specialist team without being on hold.

    That's a new one on me.

    My experience so far has been a mess. I called many weeks ago, couldn't get a decent deal so I cancelled my auto-renewal. Called back a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't get the deal many here were getting, but they came close. They gave me Max for free (by a credit). The actual ST price was still going to be the early bird, six payment price, but they gave me several monthly discounts to offset. Great.

    Yesterday, I get my autopay notice and see that my bill is several hundred higher than it should be. I look at the bill and I've not only been billed the early bird one time payment of almost $300, but I've also been billed for the first payment of six for the early bird price. Double billed.

    I called, got an offshore rep, who may as well have been on Mars, the connection was so bad. After fifteen minutes, she couldn't remove the one time payment so she transferred me to a ST rep in Texas. He was great, but he also could not get it done. He had to escalate it to a supervisor and I'll hear back in a few days. The upside is, he through a bunch more monthly discounts at me (didn't even ask), so I'm now getting ST basically for free.

    I hope the double billing is corrected without another call, but I'm skeptical.

    I did this last year. I like the redzone a little better on that plus three of us were able to watch at the same time. Also good for the PAC 12 channel since I live in that area.

    Jackpot! Did a chat this afternoon and got the 4 payments of $24.99 deal. This is on top of the $32 off a month they put on my account when I called earlier to try and get this deal! So happy! Now to make a separate call to cash in my protection plan upgrade towards a Genie 2!

    As for background, been a subscriber since 2011 with Premier and Sunday Ticket Max every year. Although, I've never paid full price for Ticket.

    Called the regular customer service number last week and automated system and said cancel. The rep would only offer $40 off and no ST max. Declined and set cancellation for 8/10. Did not receive any calls and the only email I received was on the 10th that my service was cancelled.

    On the 11th, I called 866-284-2816 and said I could not log in to my account to see if a credit I was due was applied to my account (online access was cut off, too). The csr said she would see if it was credited and hated that I was leaving DTV. I said make me a deal I can't refuse. I've been a customer since the H and HU cards. I've always got ST free for as long as I can remember. Well she was able to get me the following:

    Xtra package
    1 year contract, keeping my current equipment (1 TV)
    $200 GC
    Sunday Ticket Max 2017
    HBO, Cinemax, Starz, Encore, Showtime for 3 months
    $50 plus tax

    i didn't refuse that deal and got my online access back and everything is correct.

    Called the special phone number I noted above and entered to PIN.

    Go a really nice young kid in upstate New York.

    Told him I was hoping for $50 off for 12 months and STMax for 4 x $24.99 for a one year commitment.

    Best he could offer was $35 X 12, and nothing on ST.
    Accepted it as I've concluded Cox won't work for me and I'll post why in the MLB Extra Innings thread.

    Said to try back closer the beginning of the season.

    So, I'll try again later, but at least the calls I've made have secured discounts of $32 X 6 and now $35 X 12, totaling $612.

    I just got off the phone and today is Monday..the busiest day of the week. I hung up after 10 minutes on eternal hold and instead called the number at the bottom of this post and put in the code 2044. WALAH!!
    Got an agent under 2 minutes! I spoke with an agent named Ivan and told him i wanted to cancel ST and my service!

    I told him that I love the ST but that Dish was going to do me good for 2 years and that i also liked "The Hopper" compared to my HR34.-44 Super VHS-Betamax that i am using. He told me that he had to talk to his supervisor first. When he came back on the line he said that if i renew for 2 years he could get me the ticket for $50, the new HS17 Genie plus a mini for free, HBO, SHOWTIME & STARZ and the sports package for free and a $40 credit for 12 months! I jumped on the offer without blinking!! The phone number below is called express it connects you to customer loyalty without waiting!

    Now those who are under contract or just want the ST without a contract just do what you did last year..just wait till after the free ST preview weekend is over for the best deals!
