Streaming is part of both ST and ST Max. The only differences between the two is Red Zone and Fantasy Zone.

Thanks - I just confirmed the same via chat with DirecTV a few minutes ago. So no need for the $25 upgrade for me.

Pretty much the fantasy channel then would be the only thing you would get added. Now for me DirecTV didn't have any offers for adding Red Zone by itself. So for me it's worth $25 to have Red Zone and not having to make multiple phone calls to see if I can get it for free.

I was offered ST for $100 via chat last week. I declined and was told to call the loyalty line.

    Called today and offered:
    Free ST + Red Zone
    $40 off for 12 months
    Free HBO for 6 months
    1-yr contract required

First, thanks to all who post here, your info is great.
Been with DTV since 1999, my $40 off credits are expiring this month and I usually get NFLST for free.
Called last week, no NFLST offers or credits available, just free premium channels, which we don't watch.
Called this morning using the 800 number and PIN posted here.
Rep put me on hold for 10 minutes to speak to his supervisor.
No credits available but was offered free NFLST and Red Zone as an add-on with a one-year extension.
I took it, that's basically what I get DTV for, so even though my bill will be going up $40, I'm OK with it.
The rep advised me to call loyalty next month to see if I could get some bill credits, so I'll try that.

Premier customer and my total of credits for 6 months means I will be getting ST Max for $5.49/month. Got credits Sunday morning before first game. Was on auto renew and did not cancel or threaten to cancel. Just called and spoke with first rep and this is what was offered. Didn't have time to spend on phone as I was on my way out the door to church. Been with Directv since they were USSB and have been on ST since its first year.

I read this forum last week and waited until Sunday to check in on discounts for my recently cancelled Sunday Ticket as well as overall discounts since I'm out of contract. I was offered six months of Cinemax through the chat support line, and $10 off per month. No special pricing whatsoever on Sunday Ticket or anything else. They wanted a one year contract in order to receive the Cinemax and $10 per month. I told them if that was the case I would be cancelling, and they offered to start the cancellation process. I have been a customer since 2006, with over a $100 bill monthly. I'll be calling back and if I get that same result I will be cancelling.

Just got a email out of the blue offering FREE Sunday Ticket Max. Seems to good to be true. It says "as a new customer". I have been with DirecTV since about unnamed.jpg 2007.

Got the exact same email. Must be a mistake, but I clicked through and got a confirmation screen.

I'll be shocked if it actually reaches my account.

I obviously would love to have it, but I do not want to be under contract again.

Be cautious. f.e.att-mail.com is not a secure site. This may be a fake site not DirecTV

I did the same as TJNash. Got this:

Could very well be a scam. If so, they have access to my Directv account number, which is all sorts of reassuring.

I received the same email. New customer... free Sunday ticket... etc. I've been with DIRECTV for 18 years. Sounds too good to be true to me. Hopefully TJNash reports back with good news. :)

My hunch is that all of us who received this email should at minimum reset our account passwords.

It's either a high level phishing expedition or AT&T being incredibly sloppy.

Impossible to tell the difference these days.

I got it too. I had called in and made an adjustment on my account so I have the feeling it’s automated and sending it to anyone who has called in recent. Not sure. I didn’t take it, I just don’t want to deal with the renewal junk.

Like a dummy, I opted in and immediately realized I should have checked this forum first. I understand everyone's hesitation, so I called customer support. The person I talked to didn't know about these e-mails, but she did say I was eligible for 2017 Sunday Ticket Max, so I signed up through her, and her offer not only matched that on the e-mail, she added on an additional $30/mo. discount for a year. I can live with that.

I received the same email and got the same confirmation screen posted earlier by someone else. I was in a chat with DirecTV support about NFL ST pricing and found this in my inbox. How ironic. The chat rep said there are no NFL ST promotions available for my account and i left the chat telling them i was going to see how this email pans out before I spend any money on it.

I am leaning towards this free offer email being legit because when I go to the NFL ST page on DirecTV's website it says that 2017 Max is "This sports package is currently out of season.". And it won't let me buy it or buy the regular version for full price. "Please check back again later to order online." I'm hoping they process it on my account and I can see it under "My Programming" eventually.

I received the new customer email also (even though i've been with them since the 90's). I clicked the link on Wednesday and today I show having the package!
